CinemaDNG is a reference (.DNG) file standard for RAW photo recording, that iswidely available in most photo cameras. Blackmagic implemented in recentfirmware a variant of CinemaDNG that allows for lossless compression of eachcomputed frame, but that variant is not officially supported by Adobe, so youwill get "Unsupported file format" error for example if you try to import thefiles. Usually the workaround to import them into Adobe apps is to transcodethem into other files formats. This process is lengthy and can lead to someconversion quality loss, sometimes cancelling the benefits of shooting RAW.Influx is a new importer for Adobe CC (Premiere Pro, After Effects and MediaEncoder) that brings new formats, containers, extensions and codecs directlyinto your favorite Adobe application. We would like to add support for .DNG CinemaDNG from Blackmagic into Influx, sothat you can import directly Blackmagic .DNG footage into Adobe Premiere Pro,After Effects and Media Encoder : you'll be able to edit, encode and composewith Blackmagic .DNG without any extra step.To do this, we need YOUR help by sending us your test footages. We need footagesof different framerates, different encoding options, different lenses etc. Please contact us to send us file footage (Google Drive, Dropbox, WeTransferetc.) : You can contact us on our Contact page. You can also answerto our post directly on Blackmagic official forum here did not have enough feedback from users about this new format, so pleasecontact us and tell us how supporting this codec would help youworkflow. Fast CinemaDNG Processor on GPUWe have designed high quality CUDA-accelerated solution for CinemaDNG processing with very high performance - much faster than realtime. Now it's possible by implementing full CinemaDNG processing pipeline on NVIDIA GPU with CUDA technology.Advantages of Fast CinemaDNG Processor 4K CinemaDNG processing at 24-30 fps, up to 60 fps 8K DNG photo editing with fast response High performance DNG decoding on CPU RAW Curves and Levels before demosaicing High quality demosaicing with MG algorithm High speed denoising for raw, luma and chroma No proxies, 4K dailies can be processed in realtime Smooth and scalable Player for CinemaDNG footages MLV and DNG player, viewer, converter, transcoder Software for footage Culling and Reviewing before editingWe have implemented full image processing pipeline on CUDA to make fast each stage of RAW data workflow. That gives us opportunity to significantly decrease data transfer time over PCI-Express bus and to improve total performance. Now we can do CUDA-based DNG rendering much faster than real time. At the same time, output image quality is comparable with Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) and LightRoom (LR), etc.Features of CUDA RAW Processor Import images: 8/10/12/14/16-bit DNG or CinemaDNG (compressed or uncompressed) Other input image formats: MLV, Blackmagic CinemaDNG RAW 3:1 and 4:1, PGM, CR2, CR3, NEF, ARW, IIQ Input video (Cinema DNG or MLV): 1080, 2K, 4K CDNG clips and more, up to 8K Output formats for image series: JPG (24/36-bit), PPM (24/48-bit), TIFF (24/48-bit) Output video compression: Apple ProRes (MOV), Motion JPEG (AVI), any codec from external FFmpeg Output Color Spaces: sRGB, Rec.709, AdobeRGB, Rec.2020, BMD Film, BMD Film 4K, BMD Film 4.6K Highly optimized multi-threaded DNG and MLV reading, parsing and decoding on CPU White Balance and Exposure Correction Curves and Levels for each channel of RAW data RAW denoising (float workflow) Demosaicing algorithms: L7 (7×7), DFPD (11×11), MG (23×23) Denoise adaptive algorithm for luma and chroma (float workflow) Correlated Color Temperature and Tint control Color correction with matrix or DCP profile RGB and HSV Curves and Levels 3D LUTs for RGB and HSV, DCP support, Tone curve Image rotation to arbitrary angle, other geometric

Convert between RAW formats quite easily (except RED which is encrypted, BRAW which doesn't give access to RAW pixels), but there is no real need for it, such a functionality was never desired and provided to end users. Cineform had ability to convert few formats to CF RAW. Any RAW format which exposes RAW data after decoding to the user can be converted to another RAW format. This includes Arri, ProRes RAW, CDNG. Not sure about others, like Sony, Canon. It all depends what their SDKs allow for. Converter OptionBraw2dng converter is the option of Fast CinemaDNG Processor software. It doesn't rely on Blackmagic RAW processing algorithms and it allows to implement standard RAW processing workflow with Adobe products, as soon as Adobe software can work with CinemaDNG images directly. We can convert BRAW to DNG with Fast CinemaDNG Processor software. This is a new feature which visually offers the same results as Davinci Resolve. You can get very good colors and they could be easily tuned with Adobe ACR, Premiere Pro or any other software. BRAW to DNG transform takes not too much time and this is the way to utilize standard approach for BRAW processing with Adobe products.Full list of available options to convert BRAW to other image formatsBRAW to uncompressed DNGBRAW to DNG with lossless compressionBRAW to BMD RAW with 3:1 or 4:1 compressionBRAW to JPEG (8-bit per channel; subsampling 4:2:0, 4:2:2, 4:4:4)BRAW to PNG (8-bit or 16-bit per channel)BRAW to TIFF (8-bit or 16-bit per channel)BRAW to EXR (16-bit or 32-bit per channel)BRAW to J2K lossy or lossless (16-bit per channel)Other options are available upon request Tue May
