So is this correct when using panasonic or cedocida codec or i must change to 0-255 ? Member All codecs that use YUV should use 16-235 for the luminance channel. It's when YUV is converted to RGB that luminance stretching occurs. Most YUV-to-RGB converters will stretch the luminance to 0-255 when converting to RGB. Conversely, when converting from RGB to YUV the luminance is compressed from 0-255 to 16-235. If you are not converting back and forth between YUV and RGB you don't need to worry about this.
