Forum Video Subtitle easySUP & tsMuxer framerate question Thread--> Member hi everybodyI converted an srt file with easySUP and output the sup file with 24.000 fps. When I load the file in tsMuxer it tells me the file is 23,976 fps. When I mux it with the 24 fps video and the audiotrack the subtitle gets out of sync gradually, I checked at the end. Now, I doublechecked that with fps set to 24 in easySUP the subtitles stay in sync. Am I doing something wrong or is this a flaw in easySUP or tsMuxer? Thanks in advanceEnnioEdit: When I export the sub with SubtitleEdit as a BD sup file with 24 fps set, tsMuxer correctly states the fps as 24. After muxing though the subs also get out of sync gradually. I really don't know what's happening here.Anybody?Cheers --> Last edited by Ennio; 28th Jul 2012 at 04:12. The best settings. (Margin, size, etc).Doesn't tsMuxer convert the SRT subs to SUP while muxing to Blu-ray? The problem is not that I don't have control over the text positioning. I do. The bottom offset setting in tsMuxeR and the margin setting in easySUP let me fully control the positioning. I just don't know the right settings to get the position just right.I tried installing Sub-Station Alpha (which you linked to), but it wouldn't install on my computer. I have now installed a program called Convert Srt To Ssa (which I found here: and am now faced with the exact same problem: it has settings to control the position of the subs, but I don't know the right settings. Having full control over the position doesn't help me if I don't know the right position. KSC2-303 Blu-Disc Studio developer Hmmm.. It's very strange. Can you share a project with movie samples? aBigMeanie it's looking like it might be a bitrate problem. dvd architect didn't have a problem with 40mbps max video and both vlc and mpc-hc play the avc file with 640 ac-3 audio fine but when blu disc studio muxes it vlc barfs and mpc-hc plays it like a slide show with tearing arifacts like this. -- "a lot of people are better dead" - prisoner KSC2-303 aBigMeanie just my guess but is it possible your muxer can't handle high bitrate avc with the blu-ray spec required 4 slices? any prizes for bug squashing? need a beta tester? i'm always working on oddball projects others don't want. -- "a lot of people are better dead" - prisoner KSC2-303 Blu-Disc Studio developer What muxer are you using - internal in BDS MX (compile) or tsMuxer? aBigMeanie in version 1.0.6 it was tsmuxer i believe was what was required. the program used whatever installed in 1.07 as i didn't change anything with that version. both ended with the same result. what does 1.0.7 default to? -- "a lot of people are better dead" - prisoner KSC2-303 aBigMeanie i'm rendering some sony avc with a lower bitrate and 1 slice to test atm -- "a lot of people are better dead" - prisoner KSC2-303 aBigMeanie well that was a waste of an afternoon. bds can't properly mux 1 slice low bitrate avc either. by the way i don't see any choice in 1.0.7, it's tsmuxer or nothing. here's an output text from tsmuxer. -- "a lot of people are better dead" - prisoner KSC2-303 Member tsmuxer is known to be problematic in some cases. Too bad if that's what it's usingI don't know if the options are exposed in blu disc studio , but you should uncheckmark insert SEI, continually insert SPS/PPS. In the command line it looks like "insertSEI, contSPS", delete those if it's exposed Blu-Disc Studio developer tsMuxer is not our software. This is a freeware muxer developed by physic (Roman). You can try to mux your movie by tsMuxer directly - run tsMuxerGUI.exe. And there are various options in tsMuxer which you can enter in the Project -> Project properties -> Streams -> Additional tsMuxer parameters for video. To see a list of these options you need to run tsMuxer.exe in the console window. DON'T USE AVC!!![edit]or use poisondeathray's suggestion and delete the option settings of insert sps/pps and use that as default. then avc works also. --> Last edited by aedipuss; 7th Apr 2016 at 18:39. -- "a lot

Forum Video Subtitle Correct subtitle bottom offset in tsMuxeR? Thread--> Member I'm using tsMuxeR to mux some files into Blu-ray format. I'm having a hard time discovering the correct offset from the bottom of the screen in the subtitle settings. In the attempts i have made so far, the subtitles seem too far down in position for the aspect ratio of the video (2.35.1). That is to say, they appear in the black bar at the bottom of the screen, rather than over the bottom of the picture the way they do in studio-released Blu-rays. When a character's line is long enough to take up to lines of text, the top line of text is mostly in the picture as opposed to the black bar, while the bottom one is in the black bar as usual (ie, the bottom line is always in the black bar, whether or not there is a second line above it). It appears that the the problem is that offset of 24 pixels that tsMuxeR uses by default is designed for 16:9 video, and thus doesn't look right with 2.35.1. The thing is, I don't know the correct offset to have the subs perfectly aligned for 2.35.1.I wish there was some easy to find "industry standard" of what the size, offset, etc, of subtitles should be for each aspect ratio. Getting subtitles to look just right is a huge pain in the neck. All other conditions are equal. And the test transcoding with "Movies - tsMuxer" starts instantly! What makes the difference? Is it the way the device asks for playback or what?If the device buffers playing, then for MPEG2 requires less time for filling the buffer. Also, if not read stream properties, the profile transcoding "Movies-TsMuxer" first reads the properties (possible 1MB). S@gittarius Posts: 98 Joined: Sat May 08, 2010 8:12 pm Re: WMS. When running with two arguments, tsMuxeR starts the muxing or demuxing process. The output of the program is encoded in UTF-8, which means that non-ASCII characters will not show up properly in the Windows console by default. If you want to see the output properly, run chcp 65001 before running tsMuxeR.Meta file formatFile MUST have the .meta extension. This file defines files you want to multiplex. The first line of a meta file contains additional parameters that apply to all tracks. In this case the first line should begin with the word MUXOPT.EncodingThe file should be encoded with UTF-8. However, since older versions of the GUI saved the file in the "active code page" encoding on Windows, it is used as a fallback on this platform. In the very rare event of the program not being able to open some files referenced by a meta file saved with an older GUI version, please convert it to UTF-8 manually by opening it in Notepad and selecting ANSI as the encoding, and then saving it via "Save As", but this time selecting UTF-8 as the encoding.SyntaxThe following lines form a list of tracks and their parameters. -- "a lot

Any difference to WMS. I'll give it a try on a virtual machine environment and post the results. One more thing. All Youtube HDs have h.264 for video and AAC for audio tracks. So for Sony TV sets you don't need to transcode the video stream. Only audio has to be transcoded into AC3 or MP3. For this purpose the tsMuxer profile is ideal and actually works great achieving up to 100 fps while using less than 5% CPU power but ... (:o) there are always some buts) ... but it takes too long for the playback to start. I went through the tsMuxer profile's script and I think I know why it is so. Is it possible to make tsMuxer profile (or another one) to start faster knowing the clip comes from Youtube, the video format is h.264 and that only the audio has to be transcoded from AAC to AC3?1. Try to upgrade to 1.01 ( ... ?f=3&t=393)I'll give it a tryEugene wrote:2.By default, Internet resources do not allow use a pause, you can change the positioning of Internet resources, Settings-"File-types", m2ts - Edit, turn on "Positioning media resources (stream)" - turn on "By position in file ", same for mpg if used Movies (primary). I have a slow connection to Youtube, on "Youtube - Movies" use a pause. If you enable these settings, the problem may be associated with this. The device asks for an end transcoded file - this extra time.Actually I have enabled this options in the device's settings section but probably the result is the same in both cases. But why does the playback start faster when using "Movies (primary)" compared to "Movies - tsMuxer" profile? All other conditions are equal. And the test transcoding with "Movies - tsMuxer" starts instantly! What makes the difference? Is it the way the device asks for playback or what?If the device buffers playing, then for MPEG2 requires less time for filling the buffer. Also, if not read stream properties, the profile transcoding "Movies-TsMuxer" first reads the properties (possible 1MB). S@gittarius Posts: 98 Joined: Sat May 08, 2010 8:12 pm Re: WMS
