[Gmail] See more When Salesforce sync is enabled, Yesware writes or updates Salesforce Tasks for each sent email, each reply, and every message event (open, link click, attachment download, presentation view). During synchronization, Yesware attempts to minimize writing redundant data to Salesforce. Yesware will write, at most, one Task per type of message event per email. Subsequent events of the same type will be appended to the initial Task. Also, subsequent events registered from the exact same device/location for a given email will not sync at all. For instance, if your recipient opens an email on their laptop at work, and then opens that same email on their laptop at work 5 minutes later, only a single Task with a single event will be logged to Salesforce. If the recipient clicks on the tracked link, our server gets pinged with the IP address and we then notify you of the link click, including who clicked the link, which email it was in when they clicked it, and what device it was clicked on (computer v. cell phone). You can then use this to prioritize your follow-ups based on engagement. To enable Link Click Tracking, you'll want to select the "Insert Tracked Link" tab of the Yesware Sidebar within a compose window (click "Open Sidebar" in your ribbon), and fill out the following prompts.Text to Display: what word do you want to have hyperlinked?URL: what web address do you want to send them to?Title: this will be a description of the link that displays when a recipient hovers over the linkYou can verify that a link is going to be tracked by hovering over the hyperlinked URL or text and seeing that the destination includes " you add hyperlinks to your Templates, they will automatically be set up as tracked links. If you do not want to track links within your Templates, you will need to turn that off in your Preferences.Best Practice: We recommend naming your links rather than leaving them as a URL (For example: naming the link "Yesware" instead of "www.yesware.com").
