Hi,If the COM+ application is running because it was called by a service, there are a few special steps to follow to get results because ANTS Profiler typically profiles a harness application and stops profiling when the process exits.What you'd need to do then is first, stop the BizTalk service. Next launch ANTS Profiler, open a new project and set it to profile your COM+ application by selecting it from the dropdown. De-select the 'use the following as a test harness' checkbox because you don't want ANTS Profiler to hook into any process. Once that's all set up, click GO.Next, go into your Services control panel and start the BizTalk service. This will hopefully start up the COM+ application and ANTS Profiler should profile it. Because ANTS Profiler is waiting for the 'test harness' application to exit before it returns results, though, the only way that you can get results back is to use the 'get snapshot' menu option rather than clicking stop.When you've got your results back, you can click stop in the ANTS Profiler control and stop and restart the BizTalk service.Please let us know if this approach works.

I started using ANTS profiles 3.0 and I am getting absurd results. I profiled a few unit tests (using NUnit command line tool), profile showed in a summary page that execution time was about 2 minutes (which is correct), however all method related time values seem to be multiplied by thousands and millions. Individual code lines have times between 1 and 10 millions, and if I check "AllMethod" tab, then for example Dispose method on a database took 32600990000.0000 seconds to execute in total.I have found an old thread in ANTS profiler 2.0 forum where it was confirmed that there were time computation problems on some machines, and that this was going to be fixed for the next version. Now the next version has come, and I would very much like to see the solution, especially since we just bought the profiler and need to be able to justify our purchase.Thanks in advanceVagif Abilov. ANTS Profiler enables you to profile the code of applications written in any of the languages available for the .NET Framework, including Visual Basic .NET, C#, and Managed C++. This is useful, for example to optimize performance. ANTS Profiler identifies inefficient areas of your application by recording the time spent in each line of your code or method as you run your application. ANTS Profiler also enables you to improve memory usage by identifying the objects and classes that use the most memory, and objects that remain live the longest. Date: 12-December-2005 (Reviewed)Versions affected: 1.2-2.6When ANTS Profiler profiles a website or service utilising .NET Framework 1.1 on IIS version 5, it needs to log on as the ASPNET account that would normally run the ASP .net code. Normally this works flawlessly when your web server uses the default ASPNET security account. If not, you may get the following message:Error 1385: Could not log in as ASPNET userThere are many reasons why this would happen. The first is that the account information specified in your machine.config file (%SYSTEMROOT%\Microsoft.net\Framework\v1.x.xxxx\Config\machine.config) under the processModel node is incorrect. It may contain an invalid username or password. Another possibility is that you have stored the information in the registry as an encrypted BLOB. (See ... -us;329290 for more information.) In this case, ANTS Profiler can't determine the username and password and therefore can't impersonate that user and you will need to move the logins back into machine.config as plain text.If you have checked all of the above, check your Local Security Policy (from the Control Panel's administrative tools) to make sure your ASPNET account has the logon as a batch job right.
