The End User is signaled by a special ring when the line is available. Prompted Auto Redial is an enhancement to Auto Redial. Prompted Auto Redial service redials the last outgoing call dialed for up to 30 minutes by pressing '3'. When the line is idle, the EU caller is notified through a special call back ring (short-short-long) and the call is automatically completed. Instead of hearing a busy signal, an end user receives a recorded announcement which states that “the number they are calling is busy. If you would like Auto Redial to call you back when the line is no longer busy, press '3'. Usage Sensitive Auto Redial has the same features as the subscription-based Auto Redial service. This service allows the End User (EU) to have calls automatically redialed by dialing an access code. EUs pay for this service on a per-activation basis. The following features are standard with Auto Redial: More than one Auto Redial request can be active at any time, by activating Auto Redial after each outgoing call. The EU can continue to make and receive calls while the feature is activated. There is no time limit for using Auto Redial, it will re-dial the most recently dialed call. Note: Auto Redial will cause a Call Waiting beep on the called number. In equipped serving offices, a pre-recorded message replaces the busy tone and provides end users with a reminder of the functionality of Auto Redial service and the ability to invoke the service by entering a single digit. AvailabilityUsage Sensitive Auto Redial service is automatically provisioned on all Residence and small Business EU lines, unless an EU specifically requests that the service be blocked, or the line has subscription based Auto Redial service activated. Blocking of the usage sensitive feature is available at no charge. Note: A non-recurring charge applies to a request to have the blocking of Usage Sensitive Auto Redial removed. Prompted Auto Redial is available in selected DMS 100 wire centers in Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas and Arkansas and 5ESS offices in Fort Worth and San Antonio areas. Support for Redial Flexible feature access codes includes support for Redial. To access Redial using an FSD, analog phone users must dial a prefix and speed-dial code. The default prefix and speed-dial code for Redial is *#. In Cisco IOS Release 12.4(20)YA and later releases, if you configure a speed-dial code for Redial of one or two characters that can be dialed on a phone keypad, the phone user must dial the FSD prefix before dialing the speed-dial code. The End User is signaled by a special ring when the line is available. Prompted Auto Redial is an enhancement to Auto Redial. Prompted Auto Redial service redials the last outgoing call dialed for up to 30 minutes by pressing '3'. When the line is idle, the EU caller is notified through a special call back ring (short-short-long) and the call is automatically completed. Instead of hearing a busy signal, an end user receives a recorded announcement which states that “the number they are calling is busy. If you would like Auto Redial to call you back when the line is no longer busy, press '3'. Usage Sensitive Auto Redial has the same features as the subscription-based Auto Redial service. This service allows the End User (EU) to have calls automatically redialed by dialing an access code. EUs pay for this service on a per-activation basis. The following features are standard with Auto Redial: More than one Auto Redial request can be active at any time, by activating Auto Redial after each outgoing call. The EU can continue to make and receive calls while the feature is activated. There is no time limit for using Auto Redial, it will re-dial the most recently dialed call. Note: Auto Redial will cause a Call Waiting beep on the called number. In equipped serving offices, a pre-recorded message replaces the busy tone and provides end users with a reminder of the functionality of Auto Redial service and the ability to invoke the service by entering a single digit. AvailabilityUsage Sensitive Auto Redial service is automatically provisioned on all Residence and small Business EU lines, unless an EU specifically requests that the service be blocked, or the line has subscription based Auto Redial service activated. Blocking of the usage sensitive feature is available at no charge. Note: A non-recurring charge applies to a request to have the blocking of Usage Sensitive Auto Redial removed. Prompted Auto Redial is available in selected DMS 100 wire centers in Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas and Arkansas and 5ESS offices in Fort Worth and San Antonio areas. The EU hears either: Ringing A recording indicating the number is busy A recording indicating the call cannot be redialed If the number that the EU is trying to reach is busy, the following occurs: The EU is signaled by a special ring (short, short, long) when the busy number and the EU's line are free. When the EU answers the phone, the number the EU is attempting to reach will ring and the call will be completed automatically.If the EU does not answer the telephone, a special ring will be received every 5 minutes, providing the line is free, for the duration of a 30 minute interval. Deactivation The EU follows these steps to deactivate Auto Redial: Dial *86 (1186 for rotary telephones), which triggers deactivation.
