Microsoft Security Essentials says to uninstall all other virus protection or it could cause conflicts.I just got a warning that a threat existed and Avast is running a scan at the root level. Nothing is going to protect you 100% but the real determinant is risky behavior, which trumps most security. I August 24, 2012, 8:15am 1 I have updated to 7.0.1466 but the Outlook Add In is STILL not working. I am using OutlookI can enable it manually in Outlook AddIn manager and it works for that session. Howeverwhen I close and re open Outlook the add in is not being loaded.I have followed all of the advice in previous posts including reinstalling, checking theregistry entries etc.I have tried to register asOutExt.dll manually with no success.Last night after 3 hours of battling I used aswclear.exe and re installed Avast completely.Still no joy. Been in contact with Tomas Princ personally and even he ignores emails. So you cannot blame the ticketing system. There is an inherent rudeness in the support section. Sorry but it needs to be addressed to provide any credibility and encourage me to renew my multiple licenses in 2 weeks.

DavidR February 27, 2025, 4:36pm 3 Ordinarily you will get a reminder/s in the User Interface (UI) to renew the Free version about as this gets close, about 2 weeks before the date.It isn’t complex, but I can’t recall mine, but I have only been using Avast Free for a little over 20 years. I recieved this message while i updated the Virus Data “Your Free Account expires in 12 days” do you want to continue? It gave me 2 choices to go Premium and “Continue with Free”. In previus versions the NEW expire date apeared in the Launcher UI but as you can see in the yellow boxes this is not available anymoreNORE this info is available in my Account’s details. I posted in facebook in this page Avast Software I hope its VALID because they insisted me to sign up to Watch Up application to get the info i want. I was afraid of a fraud and that is why i insist posting in the Forums. So I wouldn’t pursue that any further.Do you not know roughly when your annual Avast Free Antivirus renewal is ?It really isn’t anything to worry about as you get close to that date you will get reminders. So even if my accceptance to the message that my free account expires in 12 days (that i selected I continue with Free) has not been in place in few days i will have a new warning to select either to continue in Free or go for Premium? DavidR February 27, 2025, 9:16pm 7 It has been my experience that when I get my notification to renew Avast Free I have done it once.That however doesn’t stop Avast offering a paid option and from memory there is no graceful way of saying No Thanks. I either use the X button at the top right of the WindowOrTo close an active window using the keyboard, press Alt + F4 simultaneously; this is the standard keyboard shortcut for closing the currently active window on most operating systems.

And yes, I could force Avast! to exclude the compilers, and working directories I use; but again, it’s just something I don’t need.)Think of security as a phone really. (G2G belongs to a network known as UNITE. Many of the malware/virus experts you see here were trained by them.) You’ll also note that many of the people who pop in here, aren’t always exclusive here.
