Up with Gonzales shortly after and took him into custody. The sheriff also said Gonzales is related to the 43-year-old woman but did not disclose how they are related. According to Salazar, Gonzales was taken to a hospital for further treatment. While hospitalized, Gonzales attempted to flee deputies again. This time, Gonzales was tased in the hospital and brought back into custody, BCSO said. Gonzales is facing two Bexar County charges: evading arrest on foot and escape from custody, the sheriff said on Saturday. Gonzales was booked into the Bexar County Adult Detention Center just after 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. A county judge set his bond for the two Bexar County charges at a combined $20,000. At the crash scene, Salazar said an “AK-style rifle” with a live round in the weapon was found inside the suspect vehicle. A fully loaded magazine, detached from the rifle, was also found near the crash scene, deputies said. BCSO also confirmed that there is a connection between the 43-year-old woman killed in the crash and Rodriguez, but Salazar declined to elaborate on that connection. The sheriff said three deputies have been placed on administrative leave. While the incident is not considered a deputy shooting type of event, Salazar said BCSO likened the pursuit to an in-custody death and will follow its administrative leave protocols in this case. The sheriff said he believes the deputies followed BCSO’s “all processes and policies” in the pursuit. The identity of the 43-year-old woman is not yet known. Salazar said SAPD will lead the investigation into the deadly shooting. According to SAPD’s preliminary report, officers said they do not know what led up to the shooting. San Antonio police officers have not yet disclosed if they have filed their own charges against Gonzales. The off-duty Harris County deputy, who at one time appeared on a courtroom reality show, was taken into custody on a capital murder charge. HOUSTON — An off-duty Harris County Sheriff's deputy who once appeared as a bailiff on a television court show has been charged in his wife's murder, court records show. Renard Spivey, 63, was booked into the Harris County Jail on a murder charge Monday night. It was 3:10 a.m. Sunday when he called 911 to report "shots fired" at their home on Briscoe in southeast Houston, according to the Houston Police Department. Responding officers found Patricia Ann Marshall Spivey, 52, dead and Renard with a gunshot wound to his leg. At the time police said Patricia and her husband were involved in a "domestic disturbance" prior to the shooting. Police said the suspect called 911 and reported the incident as an accidental shooting. Charging documents filed in court Monday state Renard told police he and his wife were arguing about his alleged steroid use and infidelity when they struggled over a gun in the master bedroom closet. That's when the gun was fired, shooting Patricia twice. The suspect claimed his wife accidentally shot him as well, which is how he ended up with a wound to the leg. "We was arguing and tussling with the gun," Renard allegedly told police in an interview that was captured on an officer's body camera. "We had been arguing all day." Prosecutors said three bullet casings were found in the closet, and the evidence was inconsistent with the suspect's claim that the shooting was accidental. The medical examiner said the victim was shot twice. One bullet went through her right arm, immobilizing it. The other went into her chest and struck her heart, fatally wounding her. The examiner also noted the victim had bruising around her wrists. Houston police said Patricia's elderly father was also in the home at the time of the shooting, but the man told investigators that he didn't see or hear anything. On Tuesday, investigators spoke to Ezra Washington, Patricia's brother. He told them Renard called him multiple times the same evening prior to the shooting, complaining about the fighting and accusations. Renard allegedly told Washington that at some point Patricia would make him "rise up like the Incredible Hulk and it ain't gonna be good." Washington told police that he advised Renard to just leaveNames released in Bertie County deputy-involved shooting
