My late 2013 Mac BookPro had the known AppleThunderbolt unexpected shutdowns issues, which a managed very well with the Terminal commands published here and elsewhere to deactivate/rename these drivers. I have been without any crashes for 2 years running Big Sur 11.6.3.Unfortunately, 2 weeks ago I made a big mistake and updated to the latest version of Big Sur (11.10.7). This version does not let me deactivate/rename these AppleThunderbolt drivers and it crashed my MBP repeatedly in a few minutes.I decided to go back with the Time Machine backup I made the day before the upgrade, but it says I just have to download Big Sur from Apple and then migrate my data from Time Machine. The downloaded Big Sur is the latest (11-10.7), so it does not solve the crashes.I found an Installer with Big Sur 11.0.1, which I was able to install and migrated some data from Time Machine, but this version is much older than the one I was running (11.6.3), and it causes several issues with the apps I had, including Safari, Office for Mac and Parallels.I just want to go back to Big Sur 11.6.3, in which I know for a fact I will be able to deactive/rename the AppleThunderbolt drivers, avoid the crashes and run my apps without problems.I tried in terminal:softwareupdate --fetch-full-installer --full-installer-version 11.6.3but it says:Scanning for 11.6.3 installerInstall failed with error: Update not foundAny suggestions how to get this version of Big Sur?Comments
