Hi,You are in the wrong place on your settings path.On you iOS device:Settings -> Scroll all the way down and find the Proximity app listed -> Select it -> Allow the Proximity app to access the microphone. That should do it./Magnus Magnus,Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately, as you can see in my below screenshot, there is no toggle for the microphone. Any other ideas? Thanks,Jeremy I'm having the exact same issues with the app not working from our MDM but if we install it from the apple store it does work. This looks to be introduced some time after 12.0 IOS upgrade. TAC has not been helpfully in trying to look into this issue for us.Any help in trying to resolve it will be great. I am also having the exact same issue with our organization, works fine when downloaded from app store, but when deployed from MDM/VPP, microphone access is blocked.iOS 12.1.2I reached out to our MDM and they believe it to be something on the app side - it hasn't been updated in over a year Hi - sorry this is still an issue. Seems related to MDM (exact same app version on my phone w/iOS 12.1.3 shows permissions for Mic, Siri & Cellular data). We have a ticket open in internal bug tracker, to look into if this is something we control or not.Best regards,Henrik I am seeing the same issue with iOS version 12.1.2 and we are using Airwatch as the MDM. Has anyone discovered a fix other then install the app directly from the apple store? I will try upgrading to 12.1.3 and reinstall to see if that has any effect. Upgrading to 12.1.3 didn't make a difference. So we ended up contacting our MDM vendor and Apple. They were able to successfully reproduce the issue and Cisco has now recognized this as a bug: now the question remains - how do we get this fixed by Cisco? TAC won't touch this via the Webex nor the Telepresence team and both point to this forum as the end all, be all place for answers. If you want to put pressure on for it to be fixed, you should contact your Cisco Account Manager and get them to raise the issue with the Proximity Team. There are people within Cisco that your AM should have access to who's job it is to keep bugging the DE teams about issues affecting customers. Space, or negative space, is an area of a design without any content. Use white space to establish (or not) connections between elements in your design.Keep it simple. The more elements you have (and the more types of elements you have), the more likely you’ll lose track of the proximity principle in your work. Especially in a business context, clear communication is always more important than flashiness or creativity. Return to Table of ContentsFAQ about the proximity design principleWhat is the principle of proximity in document design? The proximity principle in document design means that items placed nearby each other are related, while those that are far from each other are unrelated. Simply put, the proximity principle is the same, whether you’re a graphic designer or a business professional creating documents for work. Is proximity a principle or element of design? Both. While proximity is one of the most important and fundamental design principles, the term proximity can technically refer to things that are nearby or things that aren’t — it’s all a matter of degrees. Why is proximity a valuable design principle?Proximity is a valuable design principle because it allows you to organize information and visuals in the most effective way to convey information to the reader. It’s one of the easiest principles to master because it’s a basic pattern the human brain understands, which makes it especially useful for designing business communications.Return to Table of ContentsYou probably understood proximity before you read this because it’s a basic pattern the human mind. If you were walking down the street and saw two people near each other ahead of you, what would you assume about them? Your first thought would probably be since they’re physically near each other, they must be walking together. But why would you assume that, not knowing anything else about them? Because your brain constantly searches for patterns and comes to conclusions based on pattern recognition. One of the most basic patterns it recognizes is proximity — when things are near each other, they’re usually related.Just as the people down the street are likely connected if they’re walking together, elements in visual communication are likely related if they’re in close proximity to each other. It follows that you can use the proximity design principle to send subtle messages in your business communications. Let’s learn more about the principle of proximity and how you can master it, no design experience required. Have you ever noticed that some designs look and feel natural to the eye, while others can be puzzling? The answer may lie in employing the Gestalt principle of proximity. An efficient design approach enables one to craft visually appealing visuals with clarity and accuracy. Explore how Gestalt theory can enhance your artistic abilities.Key TakeawaysProximity Graphic Design is a tool to create clarity and guide viewers’ attention.Utilizing proximity principles in typography, layout, website & app design can improve organization and usability for a better user experience.Creating contrast with white space, using the Gestalt Theory of Proximity & avoiding common mistakes are key to effective communication.Definition of Proximity Design – Communicates the relationship between elements within a design.Understanding the Proximity PrincipleWhat is proximity? Organization is the essential element behind proximity. Design rules help us recognize connections between design components like text, icons, and graphics. Graphic designers attain clearness quickly through their well-organized arrangement of elements closely together. Proximity can be incredibly potent – more so than several other rules, such as variation! For example, a designer wants to use an informative bar graph in their visual design work. They could add labels near each bar and pair them with images and text placed closely together. However, it’s important to understand the message that the visual composition should convey before implementing this idea. The impact of the composition heavily relies on the reader’s comprehension, which is essential for creating a cohesive and visible outcome. Why Should I Care: The Role of Proximity in Graphic DesignIn graphic design, proximity is crucial as it creates a coherent structure and offers clarity to the audience. By linking relevant design elements using this principle, a visual hierarchy is established, guiding the viewer to what’s essential. Successful websites like Amazon and Crate & Barrel utilize proximity designs effectively by
