Disk Drill found files I never saved on my MacBook Pro. HiI’ve just started using Disk Drill yesterday as I wanted to restore some files i accidentally deleted from the trash on my mac. The quick scan picked up nothing but the deep scan has picked up literally thousands of files from my hard drive, most of which i never even saved onto my laptop. For example, it’s found video footage I’ve only ever clicked on once and watched when browsing the internet; streamed but never downloaded. There are also images I have once again, never saved but just seen online, and some of which i don't even recognise at all. There are other file types, like PDFs and docs etc which I haven't looked much into but am assuming its much of the same. Has any one got any insight into why this is happening? Is this normal? Or do you think there is something sinister going on on my computer? I've virus scanned over the past couple of months testing a series of different scanners - Avast, Sophos, Norton and ClamXav - (I currently only have ClamXav still installed) and none of them ever picked up anything except ClamXav which was just a couple of windows trojans. I'm not all that computer literate so it's all rather confusing but I don't think this should be happening at all. Any insight as to what is going on would be much appreciated.
