2025-04-02There’s no evidence that private browsing or clearing your cookies will help you save money on flights. Plane tickets can be expensive, so many people online often look for ways to save money. VERIFY viewer Angie asked if searching for flights in incognito mode can help you find lower prices. THE QUESTION Will searching in incognito mode help you find lower flight prices? THE SOURCES THE ANSWER No, searching in incognito mode will not help you find lower flight prices. WHAT WE FOUND There’s no evidence that browsing in incognito mode or clearing your cookies will help you save money on airline tickets, travel experts at Going, CheapAir, Nomadic Matt, The Points Guy and Thrifty Traveler all say. “Let us say this unequivocally: Searching for flights incognito does nothing. Absolutely nothing. Nor does clearing your cookies,” Kyle Potter, the executive editor of Thrifty Traveler, said. “We're searching all day, every day for flights. If airlines were tracking our searches, we'd never find cheap flights.” Scott Keyes, the founder and chief flight expert at Going, formerly known as Scott’s Cheap Flights, explains that this myth persists because some people believe that airlines will see that they’re interested in a certain flight or route, and then jack up the prices to make them pay more. But he says airlines are not manipulating individual prices based on past flight searches. “Part of the confusion may come because airline and online travel agency websites do typically access your IP address, but they do that so that they know where you are to serve you information in your language and currency—not to manipulate prices based on your searches,” Keyes said. Potter agrees. “Airlines are not tracking your searches. Neither is Google Flights or most other search engines and online travel agencies like Expedia, Hopper and Priceline. Your flight prices aren't being affected by your previous searches,” Potter said. Another reason Keyes and Potter say this myth persists is that airline prices are constantly changing and sometimes a price does increase in the few minutes between searches. “If that happens, it could be a number of

If someone here knows please let me know the right section to find this setting.MAHALO & ALOHAMurphy13 Hi @Murphy13,The option to automatically clear history, cache, or cookies upon closing the browser is no longer available in the Comodo Dragon browser’s settings. We will take in consideration taking the feature back on.This feature was available in previous versions but have been removed in recent updates. Unfortunately, as of now, there is no built-in option to clear browsing data automatically when you close the browser in Comodo Dragon. What you can do:Use Private Browsing Mode: You can enable Incognito or Private Browsing mode, where browsing data (cookies, history, cache) is automatically discarded once the session is closed. While this doesn’t clear data from regular browsing, it’s a quick way to prevent storage of your browsing history and cache during a session.Manual Clearing: If you’re looking for a more manual solution, you can always go to Settings and clear browsing data regularly through the Privacy & Security section.Mahalo and aloha,The Comodo Browser Team. Dolphin66 February 26, 2025, 4:32pm 5 @cosmin.dragonWith no Sync it is not really possible / usable to have Dragon installed on 2 x machines i.e. Laptop & Desktop as if a bookmark is added on one it does not appear on the other and so has to be added manually. Is it being looked at to have this capability implemented ? Hi @Dolphin66,Thank you for your message! We are currently evaluating the feasibility of integrating that capability into our browser. While we don’t have a specific timeline at this moment, we truly appreciate your feedback.Best regards,The Comodo Browser Team.
