Once you have your [KFMod.KFMaplist] entry listed at the bottom of the KillingFloor.ini you can simply update map entries there for new custom maps or continue to use the Web Admin Interface. If you don't have a host who can store your maps (and mods) then you can at least test the function using or They both offer FREE hosting and bandwidth although dropbox appears to be the superior option with a 2GB upload limit and unlimited bandwidth. These companies change their plans from time to time so check their current offers. You can also configure the redirect from your own server PC by installing your own web hosting application, like Apache. Some maps come bundled with additional files for textures, sound, models, etc. You can also add these to your server redirect area in compressed form. They can all be added to the same redirect folder as the maps. Make sure they are added to the correct folders on the game server in uncompressed form.[/B]__________________________________________________SO at the start I was just uploading custom maps to my Killing Floor ServerAnd since I already had the maps saved to my Steam/Userapps/Common/Killingfloor/Maps it was not making me download maps from the serverBut everyone who didn't have the maps and had to downloadwas getting a slow like 5-10 KB transfer rate So I followed the guide but ran into lots of problems.....I uploaded a map to dropbox.comI setup a redirect link to my Dropbox.com archive that has my KF-Doom2-Final-V7 map in thereLike so in my .Ini Code: RedirectToURL= After setting up the Redirect link to the maps it asks to delete the map from your server. I then deleted the map from the serverUpon doing this it removed the map from my web admin cycle play listAnd from being able to select it at all while playing in game So i have the redirect link setup for the mapsbut the map is no longer in my Server Files then I try to manually add the map to my Killingfloor.Ini Via Code: Maps=kf-mountainpassMaps=kf-icecaveMaps=kf-apertureMaps=kf-abusementparkMaps=KF-Doom2-Final-V7 I then save the .ini file and upload it to my server and restart the serverBut when I check my .ini file after a restartit erases the code I just added: Maps=Doom2-Final-V7This doenst make any sense... The guide tells me to delete the file from my Kf ServerAnd when I do that, in the web admin and through manually editing the killingfloor.ini it wont let me add the Doom map UNLESS its uploaded to my serverNow
