The sets have to be able to talk to the controller to place calls, so getting the boot file from there shouldn't be a problem either.You can set up a local tftp server if you want. Just copy the files from the /sysro/tftp folder to the local tftp. Then in the local lan's DHCP options set 128 to be the ip of the local tftp server, or assign it statically in the set. Thread starter #3 Thanks for the reply MitelTech. The issue is that the controller is situated in one country and the phones are remote sites in different countries. They are not using the Teleworker solution, however even if they did the sets would still have to connect to the controller to download their software, and don't have controller situated local to the respective countries. They have a wan link (across satelite which is very slow) that connects the sites. All they want to achieve is to minimize the bandwidth usage when the phones go out and come back up again for what ever reason.
