How do I position the Duet screen to the left, right - Duet Display

I’ve never reviewed a Chromebook quite like this latest one from Lenovo. The Chromebook Duet, first announced in January, defies most Chromebook trends. It’s one of the few convertible tablet devices that can run Chrome OS, at a time when the utility of such a tablet is questionable at best. At the same time, it’s a throwback to the days when Chromebooks were primarily cheap, small, low-powered secondary computers. The Chromebook Duet certainly is inexpensive, starting at $279 with a detachable keyboard included. (The model I reviewed costs $299.) It’s also small, with a 10.1-inch screen. Given the lack of an Intel processor, I had serious concerns about whether its performance would be sufficient for my workflow. But after spending some quality time with this tiny device, I came away impressed by what Lenovo pulled off here. That doesn’t mean I’d want to use it all day though.HardwareEven though Lenovo said it considers the Duet a Chromebook first, it clearly does not have a traditional laptop form factor. At its core, the Duet is a tablet with a 10.1-inch screen -- but the fact that Lenovo includes a keyboard case in the price gives the company some wiggle room on how it classifies the device. Unlike most keyboard folios I’ve seen, the Duet comes in two pieces. One magnetically attaches to the back of the Duet and has a kickstand that flips out for propping it up while the other attaches to the bottom via pogo pins and folds down to reveal the keyboard and trackpad. It’s a bit of an unusual choice, but it means you can prop up the Duet to watch videos without needing the keyboard attached, which amounts to some extra flexibility. Nathan Ingraham / EngadgetThe Duet tablet itself feels well-made for such an inexpensive device. It’s similar in size to Apple’s basic 10.2-inch iPad, though it does have a noticeable camera bump on the rear. The back has a two-tone blue-and-gray color scheme, which gives it some much-needed visual flair. Unfortunately, the sticker at the bottom, filled with FCC ID info, bar codes and an Energy Star logo, among other things, detracts from the experience -- but how much time do you spend looking at the back of a tablet, anyway? Nathan Ingraham / EngadgetMoving around to the front, you’ll find the bezels around the 1080p touchscreen aren’t exactly razor thin, but they’re totally acceptable for. Duet for Education. Reduce screen tearing when gaming. While most OLED panels have a near-instantaneous response time, it isn't the case here, as there's visible ghosting in fast-moving scenes. That said, it's still better than most non-gaming laptops with a 60Hz display. Native Contrast 100,400 : 1 Like all OLEDs, the Lenovo Chromebook Duet 5 has a superb contrast ratio, letting it display deep, inky blacks. The contrast is effectively infinite because OLEDs can fully turn off the pixels to display black. The posted number is too low due to our light meter's limitations. The contrast ratio can vary between individual units. Maximum Brightness 345 cd/m² Minimum Brightness 3 cd/m² The Lenovo Chromebook Duet 5's screen gets decently bright, good enough for use in most indoor settings, but not outdoors in broad daylight. It gets very dim at the lowest brightness setting, which is great for dark room viewing as it causes less eye strain. There were some initial reports of the Duet 5 having VESA DisplayHDR 500 certification; however, Lenovo doesn't mention it in their marketing material, and the Duet 5 isn't on the list of certified products. Also, we tried to measure the maximum HDR brightness, but we couldn't play any content in HDR, whether the content is stored locally or streaming from a service like YouTube. Screen Finish Glossy Total Reflections 5.483% Indirect Reflections 0.751% Calculated Direct Reflections 4.73% The Lenovo Chromebook Duet 5's reflection handling is okay. It mostly struggles with direct reflections, so it's best to avoid having bright lights shining right at it. Uniformity (Std.
