(The Windows 10 version was already available back on April 28.) It converts select EOS Interchangeable Lens Cameras (ILC) and PowerShot cameras into a high-quality webcam through a simple USB connection to your computer. Both the EOS R and EOS RP mirrorless cameras are supported. Of course, the reason you may want to use a Canon ILC (with a large sensor) instead of a dedicated webcam (with a tiny sensor) is the improved video appearance while participating in video conferencing and virtual meetings.Supported CamerasPRESS RELEASEYou Asked, Canon Delivers: The EOS Webcam Utility Beta Software* Now Available for macOS1 UsersMELVILLE, NY, May 27, 2020 – After tens of thousands of downloads and comments from Canon brand loyalists, the EOS Webcam Utility Beta software* has expanded, and is now available for macOS users.
