I am simply a user inserting the Microsoft Bing Map Add-in from the Microsoft Office App Store. It should just work. In fact, I haven't written any. This is happening in an empty, brand new spreadsheet.On the same machine, at the same time, side-by-side, it works in Excel Online, it works inside Teams, it fails in Excel 2016 on the desktop.This is a Microsoft problem with Microsoft code in a Microsoft product.Perhaps you should actually read my post and do something about this broken piece of Microsoft technology rather than simply dishing out condescending and inappropriate blame aimed at the customer who is taking their time to report

To make maps work, Power View has to send the data to Bing through a secured web connection for geocoding, so it asks you to enable content. Adding locations and fields places dots on the map. The larger the value, the bigger the dot. When you add a multi-value series, you get pie charts on the map, with the size of the pie chart showing the size of the total. Create a map Drag a geographic field such as Country/Region, State/Province, or City to the Power View sheet or view to create a table.
