Since I want to see if it's a issue with me having hidden the amazon store. However after the toolbox says OK for checking the generation of the tablet, I am stuck on restoring everything amazon. How long is this process supposed to take? I remember using a different version of this toolbox before (might have been non-official i dont really remember) but it was quite fast getting the apps to appear again on my home screen. To fix this, download ROM Toolbox Lite from the Google Play store, open its app manager, and then uninstall the Amazon appstore from there. Then you can reinstall the newer version without a problem. No need to do this with the newer updated ROMs.If you are using the tablet version of Android 4.1, don’t go into settings/display and hit the force phone UI button. Error for reference. I don't know why it let me get to the second page just that one time, but it would be nice to get back there again so I can fix our other Kindle Fires. Thanks! #2,225 I think I’m having a similar issue as the last user. I have the Fire 7 9th gen. I first used the toolbox a week ago, which was at 6.5 then, and everything went smoothly; I was prompted to install drivers and got everything set on the tablet. I disabled everything amazon, but some of the apps still pop back up after an update and the tablet reverts to the fire launcher, so last night I went to boot the toolbox back up and re-disable amazon. With v6.5, I now got a message that “No device was found,” and it kept flashing between the two images below. I installed 6.54, but it still said it couldn’t find the device, and I’ll attach a picture of that too. I’ve tried uninstalling/reinstalling the toolbar and drivers, and factory restarting the tablet and re-enabling developer options, but just can’t get past the “no device found” messages. Thank you for your work on the toolbar! I hope the issue can be resolved so I can get my tablet fixed back up. (sorry if pictures upload strangely, first post) #2,226 Ok, thank you. One more question, did you download the updated play services when asked in the Toolbox? Just a quick update. I got busy and forgot about this for a while. Picked it back up tonight. Did a factory reset and then used Toolbox 6.54 to install google services immediately after completing the amazon sign in.... everything worked as expected. Not sure if it was an accidental bugfix in the toolbox or the factory reset,

If you don't mind doing a factory reset it might be the easiest route. #2,223 Hey guys, I don't know if it's an regular Fire Tablet problem or related to the toolbox, every time I switch between apps, f.e. Firefox and a PDF reader, Firefox will load the page, I was in, completly new and the PDF reader needs to load every switch to it, too. What can I do, so every app won't load again by switching to it? Thanks for the help. #2,224 First, I want to give you a huge THANK YOU for this toolbox. It's amazing and simple. I used it to disable the default Fire launcher, and now Nova is working perfectly. (I had previously used LauncherHijack but the results were... not optimal.) I also wanted to disable ads on the lockscreen, and I was *just* able to that as I was write this, but there were a couple of hurdles. The first was that I didn't know initially that there was a second page of toolbox options, so you might consider making that more clear in the next update. Second, once I figured out that the ">" was supposed to take me to the second page, it wouldn't work - it kept popping up with a message that said no devices were detected. Finally, literally as I was typing this reply, it did take me to the second page where I was able to successfully install the lockscreen ad block, which works great. However, now that I've quit the toolbox and go back into it, I again can't get into the second page of the toolbox. I've attached a screenshot of the

I'm running the latest version of windows 10 on the PC I'm using, I have adb enabled on the fire 7 (2019) that I'm using and developer options are switched to on, I've tried disabling antivirus software on the Windows device to make sure that the software I have wasn't subtly blocking the connection and I have disconnected and reconnected the fire 7 connection, all to no avail. I have also gone through task manager and closed all of the adb.exe connections between each attempt at opening Fire Toolbox, but the same issue reoccurs. What it's doing:When I open the Toolbox, I get the version page, followed by an eternal, "The Toolbox is starting the Android Debug Bridge (ADB) and setting up the environment. Once this process is completed the Toolbox will start." message. I have left it running for more than an hour to see if it was just the fact that I'm using my slower PC to use this tool, but that is not the case either.Recommendations, tips, or troubleshooting assistance would be very much appreciated in this matter. #2 I am having the exact same issue, any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thought at first the cable may only be a charge only cable, swapped out for data cable, same result. The process will hang here for as long as I let it. I am running Windows 10 Home with the latest updates, The tablet is a Fire HD 10 (9th gen) running Fire OS 7.3.2.7,Thanks in advance for your assistance Similar threads. Do I still need Launcher Hijack to install Nova? Unclear on this. I basically just want to have the Play Store and Nova. Thanks! Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk If your tablet was made in 2017 or earlier you will unfortunately need LauncherHijack. If your device was made in 2018 or later you won't need LH. However, you don't necessarily need LauncherHijack at all. You can hide Fire Launcher and use ParentalControlsHide to block the parental control messages. The only reason why we use LauncherHijack is because it bypasses the need for parental controls to display messages when Fire Launcher isn't enabled. Well I suppose the home button can break as well.... That's probably the main reason... I hope that makes sense. Please let me know if you have further questions! Thanks! #2,237 Hi everybody!I just used toolbox on 2019 HD 10 and have a question about Chrome browser...I simply can't find it!!! It? Thanks for the help. Sounds like there is an issue with lack of available RAM. The tablets don't necessarily have the most RAM in the world and if you have multiple apps running in the background... this RAM will be taken up and won't allow for things to stay in RAM (which is why your apps refresh themselves when you reopen them). I would recommend deleting some apps you don't use (in addition, closing out of any tabs you don't use in Chrome) and clearing all things from the recents pane (Press the square button and clear every app from there). Hope this helps! #2,232 I too have been having issues with the second page not working. I am glad to see that there is a fix already in the next version.I also wanted to post a small bug (not sure if others have already brought this up). When I load up the Toolbox at the bottom it is showing the wrong tablet. I have the new 2019 (gen 9) HD 10 but the toolbox shows it as a Amazon Fire HD8 (2018). Not sure if this is important or not but thought I would mention it. I have also had the same issues with Wallchanger that others have mentioned. I would not recommend using it. It jacks up your wallpaper permanently or until you find something else that will work on the Fire tablets to change the wallpapers. I have messed around with a lot of them and some seem to work at first until you reboot and then the same messed up wallpaper that Wallchanger used to replace the original wallpaper with comes back. I have found that the Windows Launcher in the toolbox does allow you to change the wallpaper and it stays through a reboot.. Which Amazon Fire Tablets Are Compatible With Fire Toolbox? BUT even though there is a way to change the lock screen wallpaper it does not work. It will use the same wallpaper that you set for your Home screen. I have not tried other launchers to see if others have a way that works for both lock and home screens. If anyone has found launchers that allow you to change both wallpapers, and works through a reboot, I would love to hear which ones. Thanks for the amazing work you have done. Love the toolbox! #2,233 Hi, I just finally got around to rooting my HD10 last night using the information found here, and I am not sure which way to proceed forward. I was previously using unrooted stock 5.6.2.0 ROM with Google Playstore, NovaLauncher, and LauncherHijack. I found that my experience was laggy, and switching between applications like Google Docs and a PDF reader meant that something would have to be reloaded into RAM.I was wondering if I should use ToolBox to remove the Amazon bloat to make my tablet faster and multitasking more efficient without having to reload apps into RAM?Or would installing Lineage OS be the way to go? I am slightly reluctant about installing Lineage OS because it seems more complicated. My essential apps are Google Docs, Foxit PDF reader, Xodo PDF reader, Google Drive, Dropbox, Firefox, Edge, Chrome, Moon Reader +, VLC, and Microsoft Office. Thanks for your advice. #2,234 Getting my Fire 10 today. I've used the toolbox before on 2 Fire 7s. Do I still need Launcher Hijack to install Nova? Unclear on this.
