It can be used to install other services and apps. Go through the FireCore website to know more on how to use the jailbroken Apple TV in the most beneficial manner.Steps to Jailbreak Apple TV 4 tvOS 10.1/10.0The jailbreak of Apple TV 4 follows slightly different steps and comes with a limitation. The jailbreak is tethered, which means the Apple TV 4 needs to be re-jailbroken every time it is switched off and switched back on again. While this is a hassle, Apple TV users shouldn’t find this as much bothering as Apple TV is plugged into a power supply always and goes “sleep” instead of powering off completely on a frequent basis.By the way, as in a case of Apple TV 2, this Apple TV 4 jailbreak only works for tvOS 10.0 to 10.1. Those who have tvOS 10.1.1 are out of luck, as the latest OS updates came with the jailbreak technique patched.Follow these steps. On PC or Mac, download Cydia Impactor file and liberTV Apple TV jailbreak software.Connect Apple TV to PC or Mac with a

Your version did look promising. The iTunes restore script was successful. However in iTunes I got a bunch of messages that it couldn't connect to the "iPhone", not "AppleTV".Finally iTunes gave me an error, 1602. Which looks to be an Antivirus software issue. But that can't be right after the steps I have taken to remove this before running.Any thoughts on a different trick? #7 Never mindNever mind. I spoke too soon. Just plugged in the ATV and we are good with the "FC" logo. Thanks so much for your help. #8 The 1602 error can sometimes be a false error, as it was with your jailbreak. 2025-04-04So I’ve had my 4.4.4 ATV2 JB’ed for probably 6 months using SP. It had XBMC, Plex, Nitro, and everything worked great. I upgraded from XBMC 11 RC2 to final a few days ago and lost my sound. I heard re-JB’ing it might help, but like so many didn’t have my SHSH saved and Apple had stopped signing. I was able to read enough to get into iFaith and somehow get the signed blob and then I tried it using the mixed DMG snowbreeze/seasonpass some have said fixed their audio. And I lost JB (or lost SSH and my menus anyway). Then I used iTunes to use a standard 4.4.4 Restore IPSW and it took, and finally after fighting SP and a few other methods and coming up with 3194 errors I finally got JB and SSH back by using snowbreeze 2.9.3 with the signed blob from the beginning. Now my XBMC sound works, but I am seeing other strangeness like long boot times, sporadic inaccessibility via VNC, and an inability to browse my network via SMB or select zeroconf shares showing up. So it’s probably an XBMC or Nitro issue on my machine, but I thought it might just be easier to re-JB with SP and hope the audio works. I take it I can’t do this on my box now with snowbreeze and I’d have to use iTunes to restore to 4.4.4 and then hope I can re-JB without the 3194 errors? Any over suggestions? Thanks SO much for taking a look at this.
