Flight control of robo-pigeon using a neural stimulation
The most powerful brainwave app - like binaural beats for your eyes and hands! Brain Stimulator empowers you with the ability to play sensory stimuli at a set frequency, enabling ultimate brainwave entrainment. Brainwave activity can differ significantly between regions of the brain. Popular brainwave entrainment solutions such as binaural beats and isochronic tones may impact brain waves within parts of the brain that process auditory stimuli, but much of the brain is dedicated towards processing visual information. Brain Stimulator uniquely enables you to entrain brainwave activity through the visual, auditory, and somatosensory (touch) systems simultaneously. Brain Stimulator includes four powerful brainwave stimulators:📱 Visual: ScreenBy switching between two user-specified colors at the desired frequency, Brain Stimulator can entrain brainwave activity through the visual cortex. It is recommended to turn your brightness up.📳 TouchUsing haptic feedback, Brain Stimulator vibrates your device at the specified frequency. This allows brainwave entrainment through somatosensation - touch! Research suggests that haptic stimulation can entrain brainwave activity, and may even have an impact on mood.🔦 Visual: TorchJust like a strobe light, Brain Stimulator is able to flash your device’s torch, or flashlight, at the desired frequency to entrain brainwave activity within the visual cortex.🔉 AuditoryBrain Stimulator utilizes isochronic tones for auditory entrainment. Unlike binaural beats, isochronic tones do not require headphones to operate. The included isochronic tones range from 1-60hz and have been crafted using special audio software for extreme accuracy. What are Brainwaves?Brain waves are oscillating electrical voltages in the brain and can be recorded from electrical activity on the scalp using an electroencephalography (EEG) device. The most widely recognized brain waves are gamma, beta, alpha, theta, and delta. It is thought that these brainwaves - frequencies - are associated with different states of arousal, emotion, thought, and more. What is Brain Stimulator?Brain Stimulator generates rhythms of stimuli to synchronize your brainwave to a specified frequency. For example: By flashing the screen 40 times per second (40Hz), brainwaves synchronize with the frequency. How does Brain Stimulator work?By utilizing hardware on your mobile device, Brain Stimulator can entrain your brainwaves to a specified frequency. There are countless studies involving brainwave entrainment to improve cognition, focus/memory, physical performance, sleep quality, and much more. A popular study found that 40Hz entrainment helped reduce key markers of Alzheimer's in rat models. Who can use Brain Stimulator?Do not use brain stimulator if you have a history of seizures, epilepsy, or are sensitive to flashing lights/colors. Due to the wide range and complexity of devices now available, we appreciate that choosing the right medical or human research stimulator for your needs may not be the easiest decision. We always aim to make our stimulators as general-purpose as possible. But inevitably, some devices are better suited to certain applications than others. And the best device for you will depend on several factors, including the nature of your research, how/where you intend to use it and more. When selecting an electric stimulator, some of the most important things to consider include:Output current rangeOutput resolution and accuracyCompliance voltagePulse durationOutput pulse shapePolarity, biphasic or charge-balanced outputHardware and software control methodsIf you’re unsure, our product brochure can be a helpful place to start. This includes a detailed summary of all the stimulator devices currently available and lists the key features of each. It’s also worth taking a look at our ‘Guide to Digitimer’s range of isolated electrical stimulators’.Not only does this comprehensively explain the features listed above, it also includes a useful downloadable table, which summarises the main characteristics of several of our stimulator models – including the DS5, DS7A & DS7AH, DS7R and, the latest addition to our collection, the DS8R.For further information and tailored advice on the most appropriate device for your needs, you’re also welcome to contact us at any
2025-04-03Time. Just get in touch via our website or give us a call. Are our stimulators suitable for human research? Yes. Some are designed and manufactured specifically for use in human research settings, whilst other electric stimulator models are only suitable for animal or in vitro use. Of those which are safe for use with human subjects, several have been medically certified. For example, the DS7R and DS8R are both designated as human research devices. They’re compliant with many of the relevant international medical device and safety standards, but due to their versatile features and specifications, we’re unable to seek medical certification for these stimulators.By contrast, the D185, DS5, DS7AP, DS7A and DS7AH have all received medical certification in the UK, EU and several other countries. The D185, DS7AP and DS7A/DS7AH also have FDA 510(k) clearing for marketing in the USA.It’s important to note that, devices that are only intended for human research – rather than clinical use – do not need to be medically approved. Certification can sometimes make it easier for your research to gain ethical approval. But if a research device is favoured for your project, we can support your ethical approval application with technical documentation relating to its safety.More information on the use of non-medically certified stimulators can be found in our blog ‘Is a medical device necessary for my study?’. But if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our experts. Either call us on 01707 328347 or send an email to [email protected]. Do our stimulators come with a warranty? Here at Digitimer, we take great pride in the quality of our products. All of our stimulators undergo a rigorous design, manufacture and testing process – therefore faults and failures are highly unlikely.Having said that, constant current and constant voltage stimulators are complex devices made from hundreds of parts (sourced from a range of suppliers). Which means, there’s always a small chance that – at some point in the device’s lifetime – an unexpected fault or issue may occur. We appreciate that an electric stimulator is a significant investment for most research studies. Which is why, we offer a free 1-year manufacturer’s warranty with each model as standard. In addition, we offer the opportunity to register for a complimentary 2-year warranty – up to 28 days from the point of delivery. And for a small extra charge, you can now extend this to 5 years. Please note, these warranties do not cover general wear and tear, or damage caused by incorrect use or mishandling of the stimulator. But they do cover all manufacturing defects and electronic component failures and can provide peace of mind that your new device is properly protected. How much will an electrical stimulator cost? This depends on the type of stimulator you require and can range from a few hundred to several thousand pounds. The manufacturer’s Net List Price for each stimulator is displayed below. But please note, this excludes UK VAT and shipping costs, and international pricing will
