As of Chapter 2: Season 3, The Wall of Water collapsed and flooded most parts of Apollo with being the main theme for Season 3. The Wall of Water would, once a player was in it, send the player to the top of it, and fling them out, dealing mass amounts of fall damage.Cause[]In the Device Event, Midas activates the device in an attempt to destroy The Storm that has terrorised the island for years. This fails, however, and due to reasons unknown, the Storm returns, angrier than ever before.Confirmed in the official Fortnite website, the Storm created the Wall of Water as revenge against Midas. It was temporarily contained by the Storm Shield, but after two days it broke through and caused a tsunami that flooded much of the island. Some players believe that Midas' plan was actually to break a time loop that creates the Battle Royale, and that when it failed it somehow created the Wall.Abilities[]Able to swim when lost.Carry up The Yacht. (Only in The Device Event)Since it was the Storm for 2 days it gave damage to your player. It can destroy vehicles only if you are inside of it.Trivia[]Loot Sharks were leaked with a shark swimming Fortnite Sign in to your ScreenRant account Fortnite is releasing their challenges for the third week of season 3. A free-to-play battle royale game by Epic Games, Fortnite’s Season 3 started on June 17 and focuses on navigating the wacky and colorful world with new terrain: water. The flood was caused by the Doomsday Device event on June 15, kicking off the new season. Many players had difficulty joining the event due to the sheer number of players participating, and the event had over 2.3 million viewers on Twitch. The event turned the storm into water, and over the course of a few days, it flooded the island. Many items and locations have been displaced as a result, but new landmarks have been added. New locations make the game more interesting and challenging, but all the more fun to explore to complete challenges. With challenges located at new or displaced locations, such as on Mewoscle’s Yacht or the Fortilla, memorizing the locations of the POI’s can come in handy. While Season 2 was themed around Marvel’s Deadpool, Season 3 is themed around DC’s Aquaman. It seems only fitting that the defender of the sea would be the new special skin for this watery season. Previous nautical challenges allowed players to unlock Aquaman skins, with and without a shirt. Fortnite Season 3 Week 3 Challenges Week 2 challenges consisted of tasks such as finding Deadpool floaties on Mewoscle’s Yacht, headshotting henchmen at the Fortilla, and using zip lines at The Authority. Week 3’s challenges will bring players back to locations they may have visited to complete previous challenges, like The Authority, Lazy Lake, and Catty Corner, but Frenzy Farm and Retail Row are new challenge locations you might have to track down. Epic has essentially removed the shotgun swap strategy. "After firing a shotgun, another shotgun cannot be fired for a very short time," the patch notes read. Other notable gameplay changes and bug fixes in Update 5.0 are listed below. The center of Storm circles 7, 8, and 9 can now shift in random directions (instead of simply shrinking). As the storm closes in, it will move & shrink to the new location. Starting in Season 5, progressive challenges will no longer be restricted to a single season. You can now complete progressive challenges at your own pace. Progressive challenges are now completed by acquiring a fixed amount of XP and is no longer dependant on your season level. Gyro/motion controls have been added to the Nintendo Switch. Adjust these options in the Settings menu. Weekly challenges are now split into two sections, free and Battle Pass. “The battle is building! Drop into the Battle Royale. Loot, build, explore, and fight in a game of 100 players competing to be the last one standing.”— In-Game DescriptionBattle Royale is a PvP (Player versus Player) mode in Fortnite that was released on September 26, 2017. Players must drop onto an island and fight to be the last one surviving in Solo, Duos, Trios, or Squads. In this mode, Building is enabled, and it supports up to 100 players in a match. A similar mode but without building is called Fortnite: Zero Build.Gameplay Starting a Match Upon loading into a Battle Royale match, players will spawn on the Spawn Island, a place where they can wait until the Battle Bus is ready to fly over the island. Upon entering the Battle Bus, players will have 15 seconds to jump out and skydive to wherever they want on the island. Players start out with 100 health and 0 shield. When the player jumps out of the Battle Bus, their selected Moment will play. The Storm After a minute, the Eye of the Storm, a safe zone, will be marked on the Minimap. Players have roughly 3 minutes until The Storm starts closing in. After the storm reaches the eye, another grace period begins and the eye of the storm shrinks. This process is repeated until the match ends. Any player in the storm will be damaged, with the amount of damage growing after each time the storm closes in until it hits 10 DPS (Damage per Second). The storm directly damages your health, ignoring shields. Prolonged presence in the storm causes Storm Sickness, which will deal more damage to a player's health, preventing long-term exposure to The Storm. There are 12 storm phases in a match. Elimination and DBNO Eliminating opposing players is achieved by dealing enough damage until their health reaches zero. In Solo, the player is instantly eliminated and removed from the match. In matches with more than one player on a team, such as Duo, Trio, and Squad matches, players will be knocked down after losing all theirComments
