CompetitiveHaving already opened a standard three-year bond with Hodge Bank, when it came to reinvesting matured funds from another bank that has gone all Mobile App-based - not for me - I had no hesitation in opening an ISA with Hodge. I was originally going to go with another provider for a slightly higher interest rate but after asking questions I wasn't with the way they ran things. Hodge had a slightly lower rate but, as a result of having another account with them, I know they are more transparent and open in their access to information. The other provider didn't have access on the internet for the account to see if funds were sent and in place and was told you phone up and ask if they had been received which isn't a very good way to run a bank and, for me, makes them seem untrustworthy whereas Hodge is the exact opposite. Peace of mind beats 0.2% higher rate for me. In addition opening accounts with some establishments become off-putting and a nightmare at times whereas Hodge was as simple as could be for
