Hello! Do you have a question about Windows Server or Windows Client for IT Pros? So if you have the old edge, you can go to Settings > Apps > Microsoft Edge and click Uninstall. If you have the update from Windows with the new Edge, then it currently does not support removal, specifically:"The new Microsoft Edge does not support the removal of this update."from this page here.EDIT: But you can go to Settings > Apps > Microsoft Edge and uninstall the new version and it will revert to the old Edge. Looks like the update will not be removed, but wanted to point out that I was incorrect of my initial assessment according to some marked answers here. It's not an excuse, there is currently no offical path for Edge removal from the OS, sorry. If you would like to provide feedback for an option to do so, I'd recommend youreview the page here on the Feedback Hub in Windows 10. You might find someone in there who also would like to uninstall Edge and you can support each others feedback! So, uh, yeah, I am wearing a mask in the event you do "throw it back in [my] face", so no worries! : )Have fun! I've been playing Candy Crush Soda on Facebook but decided to try playing on the Win 10 app but I want to know what this message means before I continue. I know how to link the game to my Facebook account but do not understand that my browser is not supported by Facebook and I'm being redirected to a simpler version of the game. My browser is the latest update of Microsoft Edge, Windows 10 operating system. 0 Answers Hello @HazelAskey52 and welcome to Soda communityDid you try to change browser?King advises to use Chrome browser but you could try Mozilla firefox as well.Let me know if you see the same message on those browsersThe browser version should not interfere with Windows 10 app if you wish to use it 🙂. 0 I have always used Microsoft Edge browser for all my King games playing on Facebook and there has been no problem. I decided to try the Win 10 app for these games as King mentioned to me that I may receive more events playing on the app version of the game. I carried out the "health" check on my pc and it was way above required rating. I do not intend to change my browser as all passwords etc are stored on Edge. 1 Hello @HazelAskey52 Apologies, I did not mean you should delete Edge browser or stop using it as you're used to. It anyways? My Computer OS Windows 11 Pro Local time 3:51 AM Posts 2,169 Location Georgia, USA OS Windows 11 Pro #18 Okay so you bought a new XPS then? Didn't you use a Dell XPS 15 9510 or 9520 previously? Yes, I had a Dell XPS 15 9510. This XPS 16 9640 is my 6th Dell XPS laptop. I always add a 3-year Dell extended premium warranty to my purchase and when the warranty ends, I buy a new XPS laptop. I just had another dell firmware update notification. I did that and did this with bitlocker turned on which I heard isn't recommended. But I always done this and most of the time it was not an issue. I did the firmware update and no issue. I do all my Dell XPS updates using Dell Command | Update. This utility knows how to handle BitLocker, so I never bother with manually manipulating BitLocker. Do you use your laptop by itself or connect to external monitors? I don't use any external monitors. I like being very mobile and I'm in various rooms of my home throughout the day. My OLED screens are incredibly sharp, and I sit close enough to the screen that I have no need for anything larger. When doing a windows update, you make sure bitlocker is suspended or not? What about when Dell Firmware update? I always had bitlocker turned on and except for 1 time, there hasn't been an issue with Dell Firmware update with bitlocker on? Brink mentioned how your computer will know bitlocker is on when Dell does Firmware update so it suspends bitlocker during the process? This was covered above. I use Dell Command | Update. Now, I still have that Windows 11 Version 24h2 update available showing in bottom right corner with that blue sign update. Is there a way to get rid of it? Or should I just update it anyways? I won't advise you on that as I have no idea how much you hack the OS. Personally, I have no need to use any hacks to make Windows 11 look or act like previous Windows versions, so I leave all updates turned on and never have any problems.
