Topic: Keylab 88 MKii Key Noise (Read 3262 times) Over the past couple of year my Kaylab 88 mkii physical keyboard has gone from wonderfully quiet to very irritatingly noisy. What can I do to restore the keys to eliminate this increasing noise? If this problem can't be solved, I'll be selling my instrument on eBay as I use it for live Classical music performance and need my keyboard quiet. Logged Welcome. My Mk1 has gone the same way, I attribute it to the sound-deadening material on the Fatar keybed becoming less 'cushiony' over time. I've thought about going inside to replace it. In the past I have had success with replacing the original sound-deadening on other keybeds with self-adhesive draught-excluder strips intended for doors.EDIT: here's a YouTube link (no affiliation to me or Arturia) explaining what happens and how to fix it. Topic: Nuendo DAW Integration (Read 2594 times) Good day All,I just ordered a new KeyLab 88 MKII and will be using it with Nuendo 11. Does anybody have any experiences they can share around DAW mode compatibility with any version of Nuendo? Even though Nuendo is a version of Cubase, many plugins and peripherals work differently between the two.Thank you very much!Mediaeam Logged Hi I just set up A MkII for Cubase 11. Here is the link. sure you use Mackie Control, not Mackie Hue as some advise follow this post to the letter. The only difference I found is the post refers to a Cubase setting called "Use Metronome", Here its called "Activate Metronome". Of course if you are using Cubsase Controller Room you have to enable the metronome there too, otherwise no sound. I also notice that the magnetic layover for Cubase is not really needed as the default names - backed on the keyboard are correct for Cubase 11. Cant comment on Neundo, but I think this will workS Logged Thank you for the information, its very helpful! Neundo is pretty much identical to Cubase. The most convincing, like the Mini, the ARP2600 and the SEM. But they are absolutely missing something. There's a hollowness, lack of body and a strange almost phasy kind of sound that is pervasive across the range of instruments, even the digital ones at times. And I'm not sure if it's an issue with envelopes but they have a hard time having any kind of punch that is easy to get not only in analog gear, but virtual analogs and digital synths the 80's. Some of them I think of like how the 303 was supposed to emulate a bass guitar. Missed on that but turned into something of it's own.But yes sometube seems to have that in hte body of hte sound that something that arturia misses. hey212 hey212 KVRist 259 posts since 22 May, 2023 Uncle E Uncle E KVRAF 18168 posts since 22 Nov, 2000 from Southern California Contact: "It does offer that brilliance, that high end that will make it stand out in a mix, and I haven't hear that in other emulations."This. I mean it's oscillators are incredibly unstable. Also that instability sounds very much artificial.. like a simple sample&hold LFO doing the instability behind the scenes.I have a hard time imagining the original being this worn out when it was released back in 1977. It's an absolutely ridiculous synth. The best synth I've ever used for pads.I don't think any emulation could do it justice.Maybe not, but there are a couple of really advanced synths out there. Even though I don't own Omnisphere, I believe it's one of the best plugins for pads, for example. Other synths (workstations) like Avenger, Falcon and HALion are really advanced, technically. Maybe a bit more "sterile" sounding. UVI and IK Multimedia did sampled instruments of the A6, but I never use them because they are just sampled. When I finally could afford a synth in the early 2000, I went for the "Oberheim" OB-12. It was half the price of the A6, and and broke the bank doing so. I fell in love with the OB-12 eventually, but had to sell it a couple of years later.
