Lamar Jackson's team agonizingly missed out on reaching the AFC Championship game, falling short to the Bills 27-25 on Sunday. A Mark Andrews blunder in the dying minutes sealed the team's fate. It is the second year running that the Ravens have been unable to reach the Super Bowl despite showing serious potential to do so. And their loss was compounded on Saturday when the NFL dished out a hefty fine to Humphrey. The 28-year-old landed himself with a sizeable punishment for unnecessary roughness on Josh Allen. With 20 seconds left in the second quarter, Humphrey used his helmet to smash into the Bills quarterback. Allen's head snapped to one side before Kyle Hamilton eventually brought down the 6-foot-5 star. No flag was thrown at the time but the NFL has since decided the hit was worthy of a sizeable fine. It was not the only fine to be issued this weekend, with Washington Commanders' Frankie Luvu penalized twice for a fee totaling $33,766. Like Humphrey's penalty, no flags were given at either time. But unlike the Ravens call, a correct decision at the time against the Commanders' star could have impacted the final result of the game. A flag wouldn't have changed the Ravens' fortune however, with a last-minute two-point attempt nearly clinching overtime for John Harbaugh's team. Jackson's throw to Andrews was dropped by the tight end leaving the 29-year-old devastated. At the time, Jackson told his teammate 'We're a team' in a mature show of support and sportsmanship.
