If so, try having the other devices not check for a while just to test what happens. If that turns out to be the problem, I'm not sure what you can do about it.However I will try to use a "new" Opera Mail with those accounts and a Thunderbird checking.Yeh, if it works fine in Thunderbird and not in that Opera, I'm not sure there's anything you can do.Does the log show that Opera is indeed checking every ten minutes. Do you see IDLE in the log?I don't understand very well what you mean, however there isn't the word IDLE in the log.In the log, every ten minutes, you should see Opera connect to the IMAP server, select folders like Inbox and get an update on new messages. Then, Opera should disconnect. But, with IDLE support (Opera supports it, but not sure if hotmail does), a connection will be left open so you get messages as soon as they come in in that folder. Then, when the 10 minutes comes along, the idling connection will stop, Opera will connect to the server, check for new messages and then IDLE again. Any of that stuff that happens should be in the log. Since you don't see IDLE anywhere in the log, ignore that part.Now, Opera will also check for new messages in a folder when you click it.
