We did our annual trip to MD Ren Fest again this year. The main reason I go is because I get a Ren Fest mug of some kind every year - me and the kids have a whole collection of them, although ultimately I'm not sure why - we don't use them that often.Yesterday was an absolute zoo, in more ways than one. I remember that back in the day, it was kind of an odd thing for people to dress up. Of course, all of the workers were deep into it with the costumes and fake accents, but the average Fest-goer was just plainclothes. Now it seems that you're the odd one out if you don't dress up for it.I've always enjoyed the Ren Fest food though - I have always enjoyed Steak on a Stake, Scotch eggs, and some of the other stuff that's typically only found at Ren Fest, but none of the souvenir stuff seemed appealing.
