Need to reverse the magnets and change polarity? Or tape off the green (currently the "hot") with the shield and use the black as the "hot"? Is this all unnecessary worry? You'll find most pickups are not specific to neck/bridge.A magnet's a magnet. Gibsons have identical pickups on bridge and neck IIRC... Here's my dilemma - according to their instructions, the bridge and neck pickups are wired to the pots differently; (the first wiring page)Though that could be because the pickups themselves are wired differently.So when the second neck pickup comes tomorrow and I put it in the bridge position, do I follow their instructions as if it was a bridge pup, or wire it just as I wired the other neck pickup? (onto the bridge's volume pot of course - I'm not THAT dumn. Hopefully). Single coils in teles and p90s wind out of phase for hum cancelling, but humbuckers do not. the only difference is neck humbuckers are wound weaker to account for wider excursion of the string at the neck. 9k5 is a hot ffing pickup for the neck, but good for the bridge, however I dont think AL8 will smooth it out as 8 should make it more agressive than 5. You sure about the output? generally for a traditional tone I go 8k5 in bridge, 7k5 or so in the neck. You could save yourself some hassle by picking up a duncan slash AL2 pro set or a set of Duncan Seth Lovers, or antiquities, if you need more "rawk" substitute a Duncan JB for the bridge pickup.....all good choices, cheap and available in cream open bobbins since I already bought the pickup, it's hassle-free. I have a couple A2 magnets as well - granted, you don't know until you hear it in the particular pickup you plan on using, but I've found the A2 mags to make things quieter and plinkier. The 9.5K in the neck works really well! not boomy or harsh at all - I just pulled it back from the strings a bit to match the bridge pup that I'll be replacing. The Shadow has an alder body and has a bolt-on maple/rosewood neck, so I'm not gonna get a perfect Paul

Inverted chords don't have the root note in the bass, instead they have the third or the fifth as the lowest note of the chord shape.
