Perhaps you could try using the Network interface with IP address so I think that is not the problem, at least from I can tell at this surface level. The active interface is there present in the settings dialog and is selected for monitoring. The only difference between portable and regular version is interface name. In the regular version it seems contain the system interface description value while in portable version it seems like some Networx arbitrary naming. But the behavior is the same for both versions so I assume the naming differnce in the setting dialog is not the problem and stems from some naming algorithm change between old and new Networx versions as my regular version was installed long time ago and was upgraded many many times and keeps the interface name created years back while portable version used some new approach to name interfaces. Installed version instead (not portable)? I've got Networx 5.4.1 64-bit up and running well in Windows 10 Pro x64. But I noticed an oddity just today... network traffic from the new Microsoft Edge browser is not showing up in Networx graph or usage stats. Firefox (and forks), Chrome, and other Chromium-based browsers are being monitored properly in Networx as they were when I was running Win7 x64. Only the Edge browser is being ignored by Networx. In Settings, the IP and MAC addresses are all zeroed out. Attached is a screenshot of my "Settings" window and my "IP Address Range Manager" window. Under "Networks..." I have "All networks that I connect to" enabled. "Ignore local traffic within the LAN" is ticked. I don't have a problem using Firefox and Chrome if the Edge browser is incompatible with Networx. But I am just wondering if there is a setting somewhere that I have wrong. Are you able to see network traffic in the Networx graph when using the MS Edge browser? Attachments: open | download – 2015_08_18_18_02_46_Settings.jpg (73.3 KB) open | download – 2015_08_18_18_08_41_Settings_range.jpg (44 KB) Somehow the Edge goes undetected and this has something to do with the network driver NetWorx relies upon to filter out LAN traffic.I guess in the future its author may implement support for the Edge, but at the moment it's not monitored when the "Ignore traffic within LAN" option is on. It's only a beta build of Windows, and it may only be me, but I've noticed a change with 10525. For the first time since this: noticed the "zero" problem (zero when hovering over the tray icon, and no further updating in the usage reporting UI), or at least something very similar to it (I should add: still randomly and infrequently). This is only a test build of Windows (to be released in October), so it's not expected that Networx would continue to work perfectly, but I mention it in case this is something beyond just me or if it's something related to the previous fix.Using 5.4.1, still with Winpcap It's not just the Edge browser. For me Networx 5.4.1 doesn't appear to see any traffic from any Modern App (Metro app) and Edge is implemented as an app. Then this explains the behaviour. The monitoring of Windows apps isn't currently working. Hopefully we can implement it soon. Pages: 12 Reply to this topic -->. SoftPerfect NetWorx is a simple, yet powerful tool that helps you objectively evaluate your bandwidth situation. You can use it to collect bandwidth usage data and measure the speed of your Internet or any other network connection. NetWorx can help you identify possible sources of network problems, ensure that you do not exceed the bandwidth limits specified by your ISP, or track down suspicious network activity characteristic of Trojan horses and hacker attacks. The program allows you to monitor all your network connections or a specific network connection (such as Ethernet or PPP) only. The software also features a system of highly customizable visual and sound alerts. You can set it up to alert you when the network connection is down or when some suspicious activity, such as unusually heavy data flow, occurs. It can also automatically disconnect all dialup connections and shut down the system. The incoming and outgoing traffic is represented on a line chart and logged to a file, so that you can always view statistics about your daily, weekly and monthly bandwidth usage and dialup duration. The reports can be exported to a variety of formats, such as HTML, MS Word and Excel, for further analysis. This is the portable version of NetWorx.Fully-featured 30-day trial

NetWorx Portable - forum.p30world.com

Windows 10 is coming, does NetWorx support it?If I upgrade to Windows 10, will all my data continue?I read on windows 10 upgrade forum it said possible upgrade from current windows 32bit to windows 10 64bit, if can be upgrade, same question again, all my data will continue? NetWorx should work on Windows 10 without any major issues, though I am not sure whether upgrading from Windows 7/8 to Windows 10 keeps application data. It's up to Microsoft and there's no way to test it until this upgrade is available. Just in case, I would recommend to backup NetWorx usage reports (Usage Reports - Backup) before upgrading to Windows 10. I've found the graph in the task bar periodically says "networks is not running". I think it stops whenever the computer wakes from sleep. You can relaunch & it works again. What adapter is NetWorx configured to monitor in your case? Networx settings says monitored interfaces: "all network connections". MAC and IP are all zeros. I think only the task bar graph stops working, the icon stays. Another weird thing is windows 10 said once or twice that networx was preventing shutdown & asked if I wanted to shutdown anyway. Hi - I have recently upgraded from windows 7 (01 Aug 2015) to windows 10 and now networx will not run - I downloaded a "fresh" version 5.4, did a complete uninstall of the current version (cleaning up the registry etc.) reinstalled it with the same results - the icon in the task bar says"Netwox is not running". I have tried restarting it but nothing changes. I then tried installing it with windows 7 compatibility with the same result. Now Microsoft says that this programme is not compatible with windows 10 - if I try to open it through the user interface nothing happens - I need to get this progamme working as we use it to monitor our bandwidth usage over our network and would hate to now have to go and find a new programme that works with windows 10 - please help. Hmm it's not clear why it's happening, so I have prepared debug builds that would display additional information in a console log window.2 John: I need to see the debug output after a sleep/resume cycle2 graeme: I need to see the entire log and preferably a full desktop screen shot I upgraded to Windows 10 and now I can't open my images (memory management error). Any tips to solve this issue? Not sure what you mean, NetWorx doesn't operate with any images. I need to upgrade from win 7 ultimate 64 bit to win 10 pro 64 bit. After the upgrade will networx 5.4.1 work? QuoteBigI upgraded to Windows 10 and now I can't open my images (memory management error). Uninstalled 7.2.2 and tried 7.2.1 since I had kept the setup file. Does the same, though 7.2.1 worked fine until 7.2.2 install.Found and downloaded 7.2.0 and it works correctly. It's hard to tell without seeing your settings. Please attach a screenshot of the Main tab in the Settings. The same problem here reverted to 7.2.1, and all is well again.Bog standard RealTek adaptor. As mentioned above, it would greatly help to see your settings. The more information we have, the higher is the chance of finding the cause of the problem. I have exactly the same problem - after the upgrade to 7.2.2 the taskbar graph as well as standalone graphs I open do not show any speed measurements, download and upload speed sit at 0 MB all the time.Interesting thing is that when I opened the Usage report it seems that there are data collected for those last days I have this problem with 7.2.2.I'm attaching the screenshot of dead Taskbar graph, Settings and Usage report. As a result, only online network adapters with a valid IP address can now be monitored. To exclude any confusion with old adapter names, could you all please try the portable version? Launch it, open the adapter selection dialog, check all the adapters you wish to monitor and let us know how it works for you.Example: It does exactly the same as the normal 7.2.2 version. No matter which adapter i choose, it shows no data passing through. I'm on windows 11 Pro, build: 26100.3194 if that helps anyway. I should also note that both ethernet adapters i usually monitor have DHCP applied IP settings and are both used almost all the time. I also tried portable version and it behaves exactly the same as regular version, the speed meter is dead. In both versions in the interface dialog I purposefuly did select only the active
