Off to the integrated Intel GPU to save power. We like to see at least at least four hours of stamina from a gaming laptop nowadays. Satisfactory Cooling The cooling system of the Omen 17 consists of two fans that expel warm air out the rear and right side of the chassis. They're visible through the air intake grilles on the bottom panel. These fans seemed to always be running, albeit at low RPMs when I wasn't gaming. Their noise level is noticeable during gameplay, developing a higher pitch that can't blend into household background noise; I'm surprised they aren't quieter, seeing as the Omen 17 has a relatively thick chassis that should have room for larger fans that don't have to spin as fast. At least the noise is not for naught—the outside stays relatively cool, just below 100 degrees F after a half-hour gaming session as illustrated by our FLIR One Pro thermal camera. Things fared almost as well on the inside; the RTX 2070 leveled out in the 60 degree C range, affording good performance free of thermal throttling. The Core i7-9750H mostly stayed in the lower 80 degree C range, an acceptable temperature for the chip, though I did see it occasionally go into the upper half of the range. It may have throttled at those temperatures, which could explain its middling performance in our CPU benchmarks. After launch, we got some customer’s feedback how to use it, and also received issues of like cannot open, cannot find devices, etc… since it is still Beta version, engineering team is still working to improve customer experience and resolve issues.Here are some introduction on how to use this APP, and once get issues how to resolve it.
