Depending on the operating system running on the destination computers, you must apply one of the following installation packages included on the installation CD:SecurePasswordExtension_x86.msi - Installs Secure Password Extension on computers running x86 versions of operating systems.SecurePasswordExtension_x64.msi - Installs Secure Password Extension on computers running x64 versions of operating systems. You can modify the behavior and on-screen appearance of Secure Password Extension components by configuring the settings of an administrative template, and then applying the template to the target computers through a group policy. The administrative template is available in two formats: prm_gina.adm and prm_gina.admx.The prm_gina.adm administrative template file is located in the Modules\ADS\dvd\AddOn\SecurePasswordExtension\Administrative Template folder of the installation CD. Before using the file, copy it from the installation CD. The recommended target location is the \inf subfolder of the Windows folder on a domain controller. The prm_gina.admx administrative template file is located in the Modules\ADS\dvd\AddOn\SecurePasswordExtension\Administrative Template folder of the installation CD. This administrative template is designed to be used with Windows Server 2008 R2 or later operating systems. Before using this administrative template, copy the prm_gina.admx and prm_gina.adml files from the installation CD to the following locations: %systemroot%\policyDefinitions (for the prm_gina.admx file) and %systemroot%\policyDefinitions\En-US (for the prm_gina.adml file).Follow these steps to configure and deploy the Secure Password Extension on end-user computers. To deploy and configure Secure Password ExtensionCopy the required installation package (SecurePasswordExtension_x86.msi or SecurePasswordExtension_x64.msi) from the installation CD to a network share accessible from all domain controllers where you want to install Secure Password Extension. ПрегледYou only need to remember one password, your master key. 123 Password will generate passwords on different websites for you.******************************Since 1Password is unhappy about the previous name of my extension, a.k.a. OnePassword, and threat to sue me in the court. I'm going to rename this to 123 Password.I hope they haven't spent a lot of money on their lawyer for this.******************************123 Password generates a different strong password for each site you visit by mixing: a) your master key, which you create by yourself, and b) a site key, which is automatically extracted from site URL.With 123 Password, you only need to remember your master key. The extension will give different passwords on different websites. The algorithm (HMAC + MD5) makes it very hard to guess your other passwords, even if one of them is compromised. The extension NEVER store any password key for you, so that security is protected even in case of hardware theft. The strong passwords generated by this extension are 20-characters long and consist of A-Z,a-z, and 0-9. You can resize the password for different sites and the extension will remember your settings. You can access the mobile website version at updates and security tips on our Facebook page: Log:v1.7A bunch of fixes and good features! We may earn commissions when you buy from links on our site. Why you can trust us. When it comes to Internet passwords, your email password is arguably the most important of all. To help keep it protected, Google has just launched a new extension for the Chrome browser called Password Alert. It monitors your online password use and warns you if you expose your Gmail password (or any other Google password) to any other site, urging you to change shared passwords immediately for safety reasons. Password Alert helps protects you from two different distinct threats: Phishing sites that try to trick you into disclosing your login credentials, and the lazy habit of reusing passwords on different sites.Google Security Engineer Drew Hintz and Justin Kosslyn of Google Ideas explain how the extension works. “Once you’ve installed and initialized Password Alert, Chrome will remember a ‘scrambled’ version of your Google Account password. It only remembers this information for security purposes and doesn’t share it with anyone. If you type your password into a site that isn't a Google sign-in page, Password Alert will show you a notice like the one below. This alert will tell you that you’re at risk of being phished so you can update your password and protect yourself.”Of course, Password Alert will also warn you when you violate best security practices and reuse your Google password on other sites. Using the same password on different sites is a bad idea because if one site gets hacked, your exposed password could be used to break into other accounts. Email passwords are especially sensitive, since access to your email is a key component of resetting your forgotten passwords on other sites. It’s an account you definitely don’t want hackers accessing. You can download the Password Alert extension by visiting its
