Solved: When is skate 4 comming out ? - Answer HQ - EA

Skate parks. These skate parks can essentially be built from scratch to suit your own needs as you’re given a plain area in which you can just drop items in to create the ultimate park. It’s very LittleBigPlanet-esque in that you can download the best parks for your own usage and there are plenty to choose from. The Skate series has always been my skating series of choice. The realism coupled with the expansive world makes it a lot more rewarding when you pull off a fantastic trick and Skate 3 is no different. The barebones have always worked and EA has gone by the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” idea and kept most of it the same. Instead, EA have thrown in a bunch of interesting extras that make a purchase worthwhile. If you’re thinking about upgrading your Skate game or wanting to delve into the Skate world, Skate 3 is the perfect place to start. Post Views: 1,234 | Published: Jan 18, 2010 03:40 pm This article is over 15 years old and may contain outdated information Activision’s Tony Hawk franchise was already in decline by the time the original Skate came out back in 2007, but EA Black Box’s analog stick control scheme and focus on realism accelerated Tony Hawk’s descent into obsolescence. EA is working on the second sequel to that game, Skate 3, and it’s due out for PS3 and 360 this May, less than a year and a half after the release of Skate 2. Back when EA announced Skate 3, they offered up a pre-order bonus: the Black Box Distribution Skate Park (it’s apparently a real place). Now we’ve got some video footage of the in-game location; check it out above! It looks pretty rad. (Yeah, I’m hip with that skater lingo!) You can head to the game’s official Web site for all the pre-order options available to you. Destructoid is supported by our audience. You Can Sign Up For The Skate Beta On Consoles Now 1 month ago | GameSpot Skate is aiming to arrive in early access this year, and there's a new beta to sign up for. If you want to throw your name in the hat for the chance to playtest the game on consoles ahead of release, publisher EA has opened up registrations to do so. Announced via X (formerly known as Twitter), those interested can sign in via the Skate Insider Playtesting program. Fancy name aside, EA hopes to receive feedback from selected players. As stated on the site, the studio is inviting people to playtest on Xbox and PlayStation. This comes after an initial playtest on PC last year. While there's no guarantee on how soon people will get to try the beta, EA says it's begun to increase the number of players invited. Insiders will also receive an in-game skateboard and stickers as rewards when the game launches in early access.EA also took the chance to address some community questions in the announcement video. Mainly, that console playtesting was originally slated for Fall 2024, and now "it's here," and that there'll... skate.

Image: EA six weeks is a lot of time to nail a Kickflip. | Published: Jan 31, 2024 02:32 pm Skate has always been on player’s minds since its inception. It’s one of those series that simply refuses to die for a good reason. Since 2010, after the release of Skate 3, there have been rumors and leaks regarding a fourth entry in the series. While it’s been quite for a bit, it seems like Skate is back and we’ll show you how to get into the early playtest for it. So read on below. Skate: How to get into the playtest EA will be holding the longest-ever playtest in the company’s history for about six weeks. After you sign up for it, you’ll be able to join in on February 6th at 10 am PT, and will run till March 19th at 5 PM PT. To jump into the fun, you need to become a playtester first. The steps are easy, I’ll break it down for you below. However, make sure you register before February 4th at 9 PM otherwise you may not get in at all. How to become an EA playtester First, you want to sign up for EA playtesting through its website. You can use your Xbox, Google, Facebook, Steam, Apple, or PlayStation profiles to make an account. If you choose not to, you can use your email instead. Once you make an account and fill in the questions that follow, you’ll be led to the main page of the playtest site. Scroll down, and you should see the playtests that are available. The Skate playtest should be one of them. Screenshot: PC Invasion After you’ve made an account and signed up for the playtest, you just have to wait for an invite from EA. But be aware that even if you sign up, you may not be selected. It’s still worth a try though. Things you should know Since it’s a closed playtest, you’ll be under an NDA. This means you can’t stream, record, take screenshots, or discuss the game. Additionally, you can register three more people if you get into the playtest. So you won’t have to play alone. If you’re looking to play the playtest on consoles, you’ll have to wait to the game comes out, as the playtest is only on PC. It’s also worth noting it won’t support mouse and keyboard. So make sure you have an Xbox One, Series X/S, PS4, or a PS5 controller handy. Those are the only ways to control your skater in the game. If you get into the Skate playtest, you may face connectivity issues. If that happens, try following this guide to get you. Skate 4 is free-to-play, officially titled Skate, EA

EA has revealed that Skate 4, officially titled ‘skate.’, will be coming to Xbox, PlayStation, and PC, as a free-to-play title. However, EA and developer Full Circle has offered assurances that there won't be pay-to-win mechanics or paywalls locking off areas of Skate's map.Paid loot boxes are seemingly off the table too, and microtransactions promise to be only for cosmetic items. Skate will feature support for cross-play and cross-progression, and although it isn't being positioned as a sequel to the original three Skate games for Xbox 360 and PS3, its city of San Vansterdam is apparently set within the same universe as San Vanelona, from the previous titles.Skate is currently undergoing a closed playtest, which has inevitably led to footage being leaked online, including gameplay from a cracked version of the game. “We’re aware of an earlier version of the game that has been distributed without our authorization,” Full Circle said in a statement. “This build is from September 2021 and was never intended for external use.”You can find out more in the game's new video series, ‘The Board Room’ (via VGC), below. Skate will be coming to Xbox, PlayStation, and PC, though whether it'll be releasing for both current-gen and last-gen, or only Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, is currently unknown.
