Quale conoscevo molti dettagli pur non avendola mai letta prima, anche con questo classico mi sono trovato di fronte a un mondo a me familiare (e, d’altronde, si chiamano “classici” per un motivo). Quello che non mi aspettavo di trovare è un moralismo di fondo neanche troppo sottile.“Piccole donne crescono” 2/5.Il moralismo di fondo mi convince ancora meno del primo libro.Tutti uniti al grido di “Laurie infame”!“Piccoli uomini” 2/5.Il moralismo diventa sempre più esplicito man mano che si procede nella lettura, sembrerebbe addirittura che questo libro sia stato scritto da un’altra autrice. Jo ha lasciato ogni ambizione per fare da cartina di tornasole ai “suoi” piccoli e insegnare loro quanto è importante Gesù. Diciamo, in questo caso più che mai, che è importante il contesto storico e che non sempre si invecchia bene."I ragazzi di Jo" 3/5.Non poteva che concludersi con una buona dose di moralismo. Se non altro, il fatto che i protagonisti non siano più bambini da indottrinare aumenta un po' il livello, che si abbassa subito al pensiero che questi giovani adulti sbagliano se non seguono la vita che Gesù ha scelto per loro. Meh. Ovviamente il personaggio più interessante rimane Dan ma, temo, per motivi diversi da quelli che si era prefissata l'autrice (autrice che deve essersi ripresa la sua rivalsa per aver dato a Nan quella fine che aveva pensato per Jo).
