#8 Why bother? This update clearly shows it had nv in mind. I really don't see the rational of 3D being added for a benchmark such as this. Even though, it'd be interesting to see a review comparing GTX4xx and HD58xx performance using OpenGL tessellation #9 Even though, it'd be interesting to see a review comparing GTX4xx and HD58xx performance using OpenGL tessellation Interesting for what, academics? There is no tangible need for any results. And, I'm still waiting to see if Sony will support it for the PS4 or whatever they call it (still just a rumor). Currently there are no games using OpenGL 4.0 for tessellation. And here's the important part, I know of no developers that are catering to OpenGL 4.0 for any future games for Tessellation support. So the interesting part of OpenGL flew out the window and is no were to be seen IMO. #10 Interesting for what, academics? There is no tangible need for any results. #1 Is there any kind of online video chat app for PS4? I've been wanting to switch from using our iPad to using a camera with our TV to video chat with my family on the other coast, and I know that Skype coming to PS4 is probably not going to happen seeing it's owned by MS and all. #2 There was a rumor about PS4 getting oovoo at some point, no idea if that was true or not. They should definitely bring back video chat from PS3 though. For now there isn't anything sadly #3 I'd think it would be in Skype best interest and MS if they made it available. Doubt MS would restrict it tbh. #4 It blows my mind that Sony sells a camera but doesn't have a first-party chat app or support any third-party apps to video chat. #5 Is there any kind of online video chat app for PS4? I wouldn't think MS would restrict Skype on PS4. Not sure about Sony tho. #6 I doubt MS would restrict Skype. MS makes iOS/Android apps, games that appear on competing platforms--Minecraft, and a whole other ventures.I'd would just say that it's probably not on their priority list, though. #7 They should team up with Whatsapp. Shit would revolutionize shit. #9 There was a rumor about PS4 getting oovoo at some point, no idea if that was true or not. If anything is stopping it's use on PS4, it is Sony themselves. They are quite happy to have it on Vita. #11 If PS4 got a Discord app that would make me

Out hundreds of millions of dollars worth of loans. He used some of the loan money to invest in risky ventures. “The leading drain on Mr. Jackson’s ample resources may have been monumentally unwise investments that apparently produced equally colossal losses,” wrote New York Times reporters Jeff Leeds and Andrew Ross Sorkin in a later story on the evolution of Jackson’s financial troubles. Among the unwise investments was $50 million or so for deals that never panned out — amusement-park ideas and global-scale entertainments featuring giant Marvel comic-book type characters. Jackson was getting bad advice. By early 2000, Jackson’s biggest burden began shifting to his enormous monthly interest payments on his debt. At one point in 2000, Jackson’s finances were so shaky that one of his financial advisers warned that Jackson’s control of the rights to his own music catalog and that of the Beatles was at risk.Sell The Beatles? In early 2001, there had been rumors that Jackson was putting the ATV/Beatles catalog up for sale to cover the maintenance of his Neverland ranch in California as well as legal bills relating to cancelled concert tours. Jackson then made a statement to the press in May 2001 about the status of the Sony/ATV/Beatles catalog. “I want to clarify a silly rumor,” he said in a May 9, 2001 statement, “the Beatles catalogue is not for sale, has not been for sale and will never be for sale.” Still, the catalog was becoming less and less his to control as. Sony is nearing a deal to purchase Ericsson's 50 percent share of the Sony Ericsson joint venture, The Wall Street Journal is reporting today. The deal--which could cost more than a billion dollars--is fragile, according to the report.Mumblings of Sony taking complete control of or abandoning the partnership has been a reoccurring rumor throughout the last several years. Sony Ericsson has struggled to remain a success in recent times, and has posted many quarters of declining sales as the company shifted product strategies. Sony Ericsson only held an 11 percent market share of Android phones last quarter, according to its most recent financial results. The company also sold 7.6 million devices compared to the 11 million it sold the same quarter last year. While Sony Ericsson has floundered, competitors Apple and Samsung have absolutely dominated sales and mindshare among consumers. With the deal, "Sony aims to integrate its smartphone operation with its businesses in tablets, handheld game machines, and personal computers to save on costs and better synchronize development of mobile devices," says the Journal. The news of a buyout comes merely a few days after Sony Ericsson celebrated its tenth anniversary, and perhaps the most pivotal time in the company's history of mobile phones.Sony Ericsson was very successful between 2004 and 2007, posting four straight years of positive annual net income with popular phones such as the K750i, W800i, and a variety of Walkman mobile devices. However, the company fell behind quickly toward the turn of the decade as the world shifted to iPhones and Android-based smartphones, leaving Sony Ericsson with a portfolio of outdated phones running the Symbian OS.In response, Sony Ericsson finally launched their first Android smartphone, the Xperia X10, in 2010. The X10 was a hit product in several aspects, but burned many consumers with a slow upgrade

Prime: Remastered in the same month. That release may have prompted Grubb that this rumor that he had been sitting on for a few months now was real.Grubb said that the Metroid Prime 2 remaster was coming as far back as July 2023. Of course, that absolutely did not happen, and we still haven’t seen either of these other rumored remasters get announced or released. If the rumor is true, it is arguably a missed opportunity. Some have argued that Nintendo didn’t release too many big games this year, and so they didn’t get major nominations for this year’s The Game Awards. In that point of view, it looks like Nintendo should have published that Metroid Prime 2 remaster in the past few months as well. But the flip side to that is Nintendo did release a staggering number of games this year, whether they were to get 10/10 reviews or record-breaking sales or not. This may have been a situation where Nintendo, like Sony and Microsoft right now, had one too many games that got delayed so long that they’re all ready to release at the same time. Nintendo may simply be pacing their game releases in relation to what they think will work out best for them. One can certainly argue that Nintendo will be better served with getting kid-friendly games like Super Mario Jamboree and Mario & Luigi Brothership released for the holidays, since their bottomline counts for more than their awards tally. And if this is the situation, as frustrating as

The internet is going crazy today over rumours that Sony is buying Take-Two and the studios that reside within it, including Rockstar Games, Firaxis, Hangar 13 and more.“Take-Two Interactive Software stock climbed 4.7% on rumors that Sony Corp. ‘is in advanced board level discussions to acquire Take-Two Interactive in a mostly cash deal,’ that would value the company at $130 share, according to Joel Kulina, head of technology and media trading at Wedbush Securities,” a report from Market Watch originally read.GamesIndustry.biz has since spoken to Kulina, who has distanced himself from the comment attributed to him.“This is purely unconfirmed market speculation that is making the rounds,” Kulina said. “I am not the source of this story in any regard. And not sure who quoted me as I didn’t speak with anyone over the phone (unless someone saw a trading note that I wrote).”Bizarrely, the duo who wrote Market Watch’s original report have distanced themselves from it as well, confirming that Kulina’s comment was the only source they’d heard the rumour from.“The stock shot up at the start of trade today to lead the S&P 500 and I was simply looking for plausible explanations,” Matthews told GamesIndustry. “Joel’s in a good position to know what’s moving individual tech stocks, even if they are just rumors. In terms of timing, [Take-Two] stock was well up before his email went out, so it was not his dissemination of the rumor that sparked the move.”We’ll highly doubtful that Sony’s in the process of buying Take-Two, but we’ll keep you informed as we learn more.
