This Starcraft 2: Protoss Units Guide covers all of the both new and old units available to the Protoss in Starcraft 2. This Starcraft 2: Protoss Units Guide covers all of the both new and old units available to the Protoss in Starcraft 2. This is the Starcraft 2 Strategy Guide- Starcraft 2 Protoss Units and Structures- Protoss Ground Units- Starcraft 2 Archon (you are here) In patch 1.3.3, the Archon, previously one of the most underused (and rightly so) units in the Protoss army, got a major buff. Starcraft 2 Protoss Phoenix Strategy. Starcraft 2 Protoss Units- Starcraft 2 Protoss Air Units - Phoenix (you are here) Since the buff which decreased Phoenix build time, I have seen the Phoenix used in the vast majority of professional-level Zerg vs Protoss matches. This page is dedicated to the many Protoss Units found in Starcraft. The Protoss are a race of highly advanced beings and their units reflect this. Home --> Protoss Guide --> Protoss Strategy --> PvP Strategy (you are here)Protoss vs Protoss is definitely the most precarious of the Protoss match-ups in Starcraft 2. A slight misstep or misclick at any point can cause you to lose a few Gateway units. This loss of early units can give the opponent a large enough army lead to build a proxy Pylon inside your base.Once that Pylon goes up, the game is over. This is an all too familiar scenario for even the top Protossplayers. In this strategy section for the Protoss vs Protoss mirror match-up, you will discover the best strategies, micro tricks, and army compositions you can use to best your Protoss brethren in Starcraft 2.Learning to MicroThe little micro battles of early Protoss vs Protoss matches are extremely important. Not only can winning thesemicro battles result in outright victories with Gateway-based rushes, but these small victories can be used byconservative players to gain a big economic lead heading into the mid game.If one player is able to snag a few extra unit kills, these resources can be used by the victorious player tobuild a Nexus. If a player is able to net a few Zealot and Stalker kills early in the game without losing any oftheir own units, the victorious player will have their second expansion going without sacrificing army size.If the opponent tries to expand, not only will they have a smaller army from losing units early in the game, butthe resources invested in the expansion make it impossible to counter an enemy attack.Learning to micro properly is easier said than done. More accurately, it is easier watched and copied than readin text format. What I recommend doing is downloading the replay packs from major tournaments and picking out allthe Protoss vs Protoss matches. Each day before youComments

2025-04-21OverviewStarCraft II: Legacy of the Void is the third and final part of the StarCraft II trilogy. Contrary to the initial announcement, Legacy of the Void will not be an expansion but a standalone game. The campaign will focus on the Protoss and will be set chronologically after StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, the Terran campaign, and StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm, the Zerg campaign.Starter Edition - the free to play version of SC2 features the first 5 missions of Wings of Liberty, multiplayer games and the entire Arcade (see below). Joining the party of a player who owns any version of SC2 temporarily boosts your account to their expansion level for multiplayer.GameplayA battle featuring new units from Legacy of the Void.As with all its predecessors, Legacy of the Void features real-time strategy gameplay centered around gathering resources (minerals and vespene gas) which are spent to construct buildings which produce combat units. Players view the game from an aerial view and must split their attention managing their economy (macro) and commanding their units' movements, attacks and special abilities (micro) in order to overwhelm and destroy their enemies. Players choose to play as one of three distinct races: the space-truckin' Terrans, the hive-minded, insectoid Zerg, and the psionic, advanced Protoss. The single-player campaign features a sweeping space operatic storyline, unique situations and victory goals with a progression of unlocks of units and abilities. Standard multiplayer matches start all competitors with only a single base and 12 workers. StarCraft II also features the 'Arcade', which houses a large collection of player-created games using the StarCraft II mapmaking tools, including RTS missions, MOBA games, third-person shooters, racing games, tower defense and even StarCraft themed versions of Bejeweled and ChuChu Rocket. New multiplayer modes are described below.StoryArtanis and Karax chillin' on the Spear of Adun.Following the events that occurred in the previous expansion, Legacy of the Void focuses on the central character of Artanis, hierarch of the Protoss race, and his quest to unite his people and reclaim their homeworld of Aiur. The Protoss must also face the looming threat of an Ancient Evil that could herald the destruction of the entire galaxy.Prologue Campaign - Whispers of OblivionThree missions which detail Zeratul's investigation into the prophesies of the Xel'Naga.Nova Covert Ops Mission PacksA three-act DLC-campaign featuring Nova Terra, the Dominion ghost, is to be released in three episodes of 3 missions each starting spring 2016. It is a standalone product, and can be played using the free starter edition of SC2.New UnitsThe new blood, from top-left: Cylcone, Ravager, Adept, Liberator, Lurker, and Disruptor.Along with numerous changes to existing units, the multiplayer features two new units for each race:ProtossAdept - Protoss ranged ground-to-ground infantry that hurls discs of energy from their glaive cannon. They can also use the Psionic Transfer ability to scout with a ghost and then teleport to their ghost's position.Disruptor - Protoss robotic unit that sends forth a controllable sphere of energy that bursts for massive damage. This ability must be activated,
