DescriptionOccasionally I have found that I loose my ftp password to gain access to a remote web server, only to have Dreamweaver as the only means available to access the server. Dreamweaver obviously knows the password, but it cannot be cut and paste from the site settings and it is hard to find. If you export the site as a ste file and open it using a text editor, then you can see the password. Unfortunately the password in the ste file is encrypted as I found after assuming it was literal text and trying it many many times. There is a way the decode it (above) to allow you to use your password elsewhere again. You need A text editor, such as notepad How To Use Export the site in question as a ste file. Open Dreamweaver, and choose Site > Edit Sites. Select the website in question and then click Export Select the backup my settings option, then click OK Save the ste file to a temporary location, such as your desktop Open the ste file in a text editor look for the text along the lines of: copy the text that appears instead of ***PASSWORD*** and paste the password above on this page, then click Convert to recover it We recommend you then change the password at the earliest opportunity Further Uses and Ideas: Another way to get your coded password is to look under UserPW key in your registry .... Dark web sites host illegal activities like gambling, drug trafficking, counterfeiting, cybercrime, and other illicit content. This includes the potential to pirate copyrighted material, which could also lead to legal consequences.Visiting onion sites, downloading dark web torrents, or clicking onion links is not only legally risky but plays Russian roulette with your security, as these unregulated sites may spread malware or viruses that hackers can use to steal personal information or execute unauthorized actions via your device.Types of dark web search enginesThere are a lot of dark web search engines to choose from, and various types offer different features regarding browsing, privacy, and accessible content. Most dark web search engines fit into the following categories:General dark web search engines index onion sites, offering search results across text, image, and torrent formats. They provide broad access to the dark web, where users may encounter sites with harmful or illegal content. Popular examples include Torch, Haystak, and Candle.Restricted dark web search engines function like general dark web search engines but limit access to illegal or harmful content. Moderated by users and volunteers, these engines aim to create a safer search environment; however, some malicious sites may still appear. Examples include DuckDuckGo, Ahmia, and Not Evil.Dark web market search engines like Kilos refine their searches to marketplaces on the dark web. These markets are often hubs for buying and selling illegal goods such as drugs, malware, and illicit pornography.Privacy-focused dark web search engines prioritize user anonymity, often operating without Javascript and using IP-masking for secure browsing. They can combine surface and dark web results or limit searches to either. The best example is LibreY—Gibiru, though privacy-focused, only searches the surface web.Proxy dark web search engines such as Toorgle enable dark web access through a regular browser, bypassing the need for the Tor network or Tor browser download. Acting as intermediaries, they simplify browsing while reducing exposure to dark web threats, albeit with potentially slower performance.Searching the dark webYou need to use a dark web browser—such as the Tor browser—to search and access the dark web. Dark web browsers are specially designed to connect to websites on the Tor network, where most dark web sites are hosted. Though you can search dark web indexes with some traditional browsers, you won't be able to access the sites themselves. You can download the desktop version of the Tor browser directly from the Tor project’s website. Tor browser apps for Android or iOS are available on Google Play and the App Store. Once you have Tor or another dark web browser, use one of the top unfiltered search engines to help you find the dark web content you’re looking for.Dark web search engines usually don’t track web activitytext only view of web pages

Creating unauthorized use of their content. Personally, I think the name of the game for most web sites is first of all a mission to accomplish something, and secondly to drive traffic. In my opinion, financial and personal and corporate benefits all seem to come from those things. What is most important to the people running various sites, and what drives them to put in long hours, varies a lot. You see some people passionate for their content and the visitor community, and any revenue is just a pleasant bonus or a way to pay expenses. Other people with web sites are focused on bringing in dollars and it's the only reason they do it. Either way, traffic is the name of the game for success or failure outside of the original purpose of putting the content out there. Even if your goals are not monetary, you want to make a difference to your readers and to as broad an audience as you can. And oddly enough, corporate sites are often not the most revenue oriented. At least not in terms of web-specific revenues. Many corporate sites are simply an extension of PR, sales, customer service, etc.At any rate, this is not a good general solution, and even sites like AvantGo are only barely adequate, and really don't solve the general RSS feed reading issue.Update: I should have also included MobileRSS in this discussion. To eliminate harmful content? Consider what you’re looking for in a browser before you download the software. The below information will help you narrow down your choices. Kiddle Web BrowserPowered by Google, Kiddle is one of the most downloaded kid web browsers available. The sites that show up in a search are specifically curated for kids. The first three results are content written for use by kids and are hand-selected by Kiddle. Results listed below the first three are still hand-selected by editors, but they are not specifically written for kids. However, all results are from safe and trusted sites free of adult content. After the first seven listings, the pages are average searches, though these are still filtered by Google Safe Search. There are some additional advantages to Kiddle, such as parental controls. These include features like complete site blocking and keyword filtering. Also, the browser appears in fun colors and designs, and page text is large and easy to read.Pikluk Web BrowserPikluk is a kids’ web browser that gives control of content to parents. Uniquely, it is also an email system. With Pikluk, parents filter the websites that they don’t want their children to visit. They are able to block entire sites, pages, videos, and pictures. If there are only a few sites that you approve of, you are able to restrict their searches to those pages. This is also true for email. Want to keep them safe from potentially dangerous hackers, scammers, and trolls? You have control of this too.Another benefit of Pikluk is that you’re able to restrict access to the rest of the computer. This is a huge advantage, because using another browser is an easy way to get around the parental controls. One disadvantage of this browser is that you have to block each site individually. This means you have to know which sites and content to block. Because there are billions of websites and thousands popping up each day, this can be a challenge. Kidoz Web BrowserKidoz is a safe mobile browser for kids that includes some truly impressive features. It comes with anZoom Text Only - Chrome Web Store
This is the GetNetWise video guide on how to set up Internet Explorer 6.0 for Windows to allow cookies from some sites. This is useful if you wish to block cookies by default, but allow for certain sites. The procedure is simple; firstly, select "Internet Options" from the "Tools" menu. Then select the Privacy Tab of the Internet Options menu, and under the Web Sites section click the Edit button. In the text box labeled "Address of Web site", type in the address of the site from which you want to allow cookies. For example, in the video the user wishes to allow cookies from the New York Times' site (www.nytimes.com), and so enters "www.NYTimes.com" in the edit box. Once the address is entered, the "Allow" button should be clicked; the site that was entered in the preceding step should now appear in the "Managed Web Sites" list. Finally, the "Ok" button should be clicked to confirm the change in settings.
