#1 Two parts to this post:1: Is the ios version provided by the same provider of the original Torque Pro for Android. I think the iOS version originated from another party and does not have the same features of the android release.2.for the Android release, I have been unable to determine the minimum device specs required for the app to function as intended. Specifically, processor speed and capability, RAM and screen resolution. I was thinking of purchasing an 8” tablet with Bluetooth and Android 5 or 6. I don’t have any Android devices but believe I can get my hands on one pretty cheap, but sure it would be a suitable device. Thanks! #2 In PlayStore, the info says that it will work with Android 4.1+. It should work on just about any tablet. They also have a Wiki with lots of info:and a list of some OBD adapters: #3 I have acquired a neat little 8” Android Tablet and have been playing with the Torque Lite version. It’s certainly an extremely flexible tool and offers so much more capability than other tools I have used. I see there are several sources for additional plugins but was wondering if there is a specifically a “GMT” recommended plug in for GM for me to read up on before purchasing. I found it odd that Torque lite doesn’t offer LTFT to be added to the display grouping. I realize specific plugins will likely require the Pro version which is fine, just trying to understand the GM plugin most popular here on our forum. Thanks!! #4 I have found the Torque Scan add on to be very useful. When a cylinder is misfiring it will tell you which cylinder it is - that saves you a lot of diagnostic time. #5 I have acquired a neat little 8” Android Tablet and have been playing with the Torque Lite version. In this article, we’ll delve into the differences between constant torque and variable torque loads, providing insights on how to apply this knowledge when using a 5 HP motor calculator.Constant Torque LoadsA constant torque load is characterized by a consistent resistance to rotation throughout its operating range. Examples of constant torque loads include: Pumps Fans CompressorsThese types of loads require a motor with a consistent torque output to maintain their performance. In the context of a 5 HP motor calculator, constant torque loads are typically represented by a fixed load value (e.g., 3.0 Nm).Formula:To calculate the required motor power for a constant torque load, use the following formula:P = T × ωWhere:P = Power (W)T = Torque (Nm)ω = Angular velocity (rad/s)For example, if you have a pump with a torque requirement of 3.0 Nm and an angular velocity of 100 rad/s, the required motor power would be:P = 3.0 Nm × 100 rad/s ≈ 300 WVariable Torque LoadsA variable torque load exhibits changing resistance to rotation as its operating conditions change. Examples of variable torque loads include: Conveyors Crushers MixersThese types of loads require a motor with adjustable torque output to accommodate their varying demands. In the context of a 5 HP motor calculator, variable torque loads are typically represented by a range of load values (e.g., 1.0-3.0 Nm).Formula:To calculate the required motor power for a variable torque load, use the following formula:P = ∫[T × ω] dtWhere:P = Power (W)T = Torque (Nm)ω = Angular velocity (rad/s)t = Time (s)For example, if you have a conveyor with a torque requirement that varies between 1.0 Nm and 3.0 Nm over a period of 10 seconds, the required motor power would be:P ≈ ∫[1.0-3.0 Nm × 100 rad/s] dt ≈ 500 WChoosing the Right Motor for Your LoadWhen selecting a motor for your application, it’s essential to consider the load type and its characteristics. For constant torque loads, look for motors with a consistent torque output and a fixed power rating (e.g., 5 HP). For variable torque loads, choose motors with adjustable torque output and a range of power ratings (e.g., 2-10 HP).ConclusionIn conclusion, understanding the difference between constant torque and variable torque loads is crucial for selecting the right motor for your application. By applying the formulas provided in this article, you can accurately calculate the required motor power for your load and ensure optimal performance and efficiency.Remember to consult a 5 HP motor calculator or seek expert advice when

To sensors in Flux software.3.4 Magnet behaviorMean values of flux density and magnetic field inside the magnets are computed thanks to sensors in Flux software. Based on these results, demagnetization rate of the magnets is computed.4. Ripple torqueA specific computation is performed to determine the rate of ripple torque precisely.Considering Jd and Jq at the base speed point, a computation is performed over one ripple torque period by using Finite Element modelling (Flux software – Magnetostatic application). Many computation points are considered over the ripple torque period (advanced user input: No. comp. / ripple period). The following steps are performed to determinate the mechanical torque.4.1 Original computation of the electromagnetic torqueThe magnetic torque exerted on a non-deformable part of the study domain is computed by the virtual work method. The torque in a given direction is obtained by deriving the system energy with respect to a virtual displacement of the part in this direction. The magnetic torque Tem is given by the following derivative:δθ = elementary angular displacement,Wm = magnetic energy in a volume regionThe electromagnetic ripple torque is computed over the ripple torque period versus the rotor angular position Tem,q. The mean value “Tem, mean” is computed4.2 Mechanical ripple torque based on Park’s modelThe mechanical ripple torque must be computed at the base speed.First, we compute the electromagnetic torque “Tem, Park” with Park’s model: Then, the iron loss torque, the mechanical loss torque and the additional loss torque are subtracted from “Tem, Park “ to get the corresponding mean value of the
