I'm still sidelined ,rehabbing my ACL/MCL reconstruction and my son in law can't get off work, but my daughter is doing the XCountry's on Friday and the Moto stuff an Saturday and Sunday. 1/3/2022 1:13pm Looks like a grass track? Quote 1/3/2022 1:19pm Xcountry supposed to be 4.5-5 miles long with no sand ( how is that possible?) and the Moto track was designed and laid out by Trampas Parker. Its been described as a grass track ,but we'll see. Just wish I was driving the 14 hours with my bikes in the back , too !! Quote 1/11/2022 1:28pm Got back from the Inaugural AHRMA Moto-Fest National in Daytona .. Was a resounding badass event !! X-Country was fanatstic and the Moto track was designed and built by former World Champ and AMA Hall of Famer Trampas Parker. Track was OUTSTANDING. Super fun,safe jumps and provided really,really good racing. Average lap times were 2:15 ish . no dust, perfect traction. Friday was Vintage X Country in the morning and PostVintage in the afternoonSaturday was all Vintage MotoSunday was all Post Vintage MotoOf all the racing on the 3 days ,I only witnessed a handful of minor crashes ,so the Ambulance never moved and Medics had a snooze fest. Trampas and fellow Hall of Famer Terry Cunningham had great battles along with a bunch of other fast dudes .Trampas is super humble and just an overall great guy, treated my wife and daughter like family. Met fellow Vital member Albert Newman (Joe's brother) and Al was as nice a guy that I've met in a long long time. Obviously still in shock over Joe's passing. It was emotional to hear his stories . Met Diamond Don -- another helluva nice guy and still rides very well too !!!Since I haven't been cut loose from the surgeon and was still just watching, at least it was made sweeter by watching my daughter go 6 for 6 in her Womens Expert classes.

On Jun 5, 2000 Last updated Nov 29, 2018 One week after the rain out at the British Triple header at Foxhill, Spa Francorchamps was a nice change with its Formula 1 pits, asphalt and anemities. Five-time World Champion Georges Jobe is the man who built the track next to the Formula 1 starting lane. The track is very technical, with wood shavings mixed into the soil. Despite some showers over Saturday night, the weather was good in Spa Francorchamps for the GP of Europe. The organizers worked hard during the night to prepare the track after Saturday’s 125 races, and in fact the track was not too muddy for the 250 and 500 races. 125 CLASS The winner of last week’s British GP, James Dobb, was the fastest in 125 qualifying followed by Luigi Seguy, Thomas Traversini, Mike Brown (shown above) and Kenneth Gundersen. The 125 GP is held on Saturday at a Triple Header (which is why last week’s 125 race was held and the 250 and 500 GP’s were rained out). The first 125 moto was holeshot by Belgian Steve Ramon, followed by Dement, Langston, Parker and Dupasquier. Seguy, Traversini and Dobb were involved in a pile-up in the first turn. Grant Langston, one of his main rivals for the title, took over the lead, followed by Trampas Parker and Jeff Dement. Unfortunately, Parker and Dement crashed together in lap six and only Dement was able to continue. In the end Langston won, followed by Patrick Caps, Mike Brown, Philippe Dupasquier, Scott Sheak, Alex Puzar and Jeff Dement. There were three Americans in the top ten A heavy rain shower started 15 minutes before the second 125 moto and Belgian Patrick Caps holeshot on the wet track, followed in the first corner by Langston, Dobb and Camerlengo.
