Teh move to ableton i was impressed with the reverb options! --> A little late but I think Seventh heaven cut down version sounds especially superb on vocals. So if you plan a lot of vocals I think I would defintely plump for that over Valhalla. I have not used Valhalla for a long time, it works, it just does not sit quite as well generally as others I have found. There is just a touch more "expensive" with other plug ins including Seventh Heaven especially for vocals.LX480 Essentials is great and superb as mentioned and gets used a lot as well as Lexicon PCM here. Those and Fabfilter Pro-R and I feel fairly covered. And Black hole for the SFX'y stuff.Also sometimes just throwing some DAW included as others have stated can really surprise you... sometimes a lo fi thing works great or someDAW standard convolution, Cubase has some decent stock ones in there.Reverb is a tricky thing to select in terms of a plug in purchase. Go on how does it feel as well as how smooth does it sound on those hats/snare. Every time you use one you will be using more or less so they are hard to judge and in what mix/track you are making. Never forget you are most likely going to be filtering and EQing its input/send signal and maybe even output to tailor it to what you want to hear, either internally in the plug in or outside it. Valhalla’s free Supermassive plug-in expands once

Am a newbie on this forum and this is my first post. Sorry for the post being about something that has been already discussed a lot before, but I just want a quick opinion.I have been contemplating a lot about Valhalla DSP plug-ins recently and have read a lot of good things about it on internet, especially gearslutz. A couple of days ago, I downloaded the demo of all the plugins. As expected, I was pretty impressed by all of them. Since I am mainly looking for a good reverb plugin, I wanted to concentrate more on the reverb plugins. After spending a couple of hours with these three plug-ins, I liked them in the order: Vintage Verb, Plate and Room. The problem is I can buy only 1 of them right now. So I just want a quick opinion on which one of the three should I go for. My DAW: FL Studio 12.2My genres: Electronic (not EDM), Downtempo, Trip-Hop, Chillout, Cinematic. The music is currently instrumental, but I want to create vocals songs in future, too. Any suggestion will be much appreciated. Thank you!EDIT: Bought the Vintage Verb. We are so spoiled! I love the default on VVV. I could use that on everything. Honestly grew up with tape where you only had one thing, and reverb meant spring since digital didn't exist...
