This edition was based on the facelifted Scorpion, and was tuned by Walter's new performance oriented group to make use of similar engine equipment to that of the ST25, leading to overall higher performance. Walter RX500 Cambridge Walter RX500 CambridgeWith a strong desire to get back into motorsports, Walter quickly initiated development of the Cambridge in 1983. They decided to go with an FR (front engine, rear wheel drive) layout and partnered with Cambridge (Cosworth) for fine tuning. The road car was specifically developed to not make under 204hp, and Cambridge demanded a finite number of engines be ordered before production. After accepting, a 2L Turbocharged inline-4 was chosen, and the production road car was rated at 204hp as requested. Walter RX200 Walter RX200After Walter failed at it's original goal of making a competitive RWD Group B car, the RX200, an MA (mid engine, all wheel drive), was introduced in the early 1980s. For the body, Walter brought in other specialist companies to craft the fiberglass shell that made up the body of the RX200.
