MICROSOFT WORD 2003, OR EARLIER Activating your new speller is simple. Import a special dictionary from us to your word processing app. Then enable the special dictionary. Here, we provide the instructions how to do that. Please read the following instructions and then execute them using your word processing app. So open your word processing app now. Remember! Follow this set of instructions. Apply them in your word processing app. Let's get started. 1. Open a Word document, and select Tools/Options." 2. Select the "Spelling & Grammar" tab. 3. Put a check mark by "Always suggest corrections." Remove any check mark from "Suggest from main dictionary only." Remove any check marks from the "Hide spelling errors in this document." Then, click on the "Dictionaries" button. 4. Click on the "Add" button. You are going to add a new custom dictionary. 5. Paste the following path into the "File name" box. Then hit the "OK" button. C:\Users\Public\01Inductel\spellers\Word2000\ 6. From the "Word2000" folder, select the Inductel custom dictionary or dictionaries, depending on which product you have, and hit "OK." 7. MICROSOFT WORD 2004 1. Open the "WordMac2004" folder using Finder. 2. Expand "Med2012Mac04.zip" using the "Archive Utility" to access your new custom dictionary "Med2012Mac04.dic." 3. Copy "Med2012Mac04.dic" to the "Microsoft" folder in your account. 4. Open a Microsoft Word document. 5. Select "Word" then "Preferences." 6. In "Preferences", select "Spelling & Grammar." You may need to change a couple of settings there. 7. In "Spelling", put a check mark by "Always suggest corrections," and remove any check from "Suggest from main dictionary only." Click on the "Dictionaries" button. 8. In "Custom Dictionaries", click on "Add..." You're going to add your new custom dictionary. 9. Browse to your Microsoft folder. 10. In "Add Dictionary", Enable "All Documents." 11. In your "Microsoft" folder, select your new custom dictionary, then hit the "Open" button. MICROSOFT WORKS 9 The Inductel spelling dictionary is a file named "custom.dic". It is located in the "Works2k" folder on your computer. The "Works2k" folder is found at C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Inductel\KAS\spellers\Works2k if your computer runs Windows XP. If you have a Windows Vista or a Windows 7 computer, the "Works2k" folder is found at C:\ProgramData\Inductel\KAS\spellers\Works2k. Note: the ProgramData folder may be hidden, so you may have to tell Windows to display hidden files and folders. Copy the Inductel spelling dictionary from the "Works2k" folder to the "UProof" folder. The "UProof" folder will be found at C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Microsoft\UProof if your computer has Windows XP. Note: the Application Data folder may be hidden, so you may have to tell Windows to display hidden files and folders. If your computer has either Windows Vista or Windows 7, the "Proof" folder will be found at C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\UProof. Note: the AppData folder may be hidden, so you may have to tell Windows to display hidden files and folders. After having done the above file copy, run Microsoft Works, and open a document that you wish tospell check. Select "Tools", and then "Spelling and Grammar." Verify that your new speller is working.
