Winamp 5 lite

Dear Winamp Team,First off.. people like me download Winamp Lite because we used to love its light weight & purity. But, the versions of Winamp Lite that is available now are bundled with a lot of trash like:(1) Winamp agent(2) Winamp Remote(3) Winamp Toolbar(4) "Set Winamp Search" as my default.(5) A Link (50 free MP3 downloads).Don't you people see that people like us prefer lite versions for only one reason. It has no trash and delivers exactly what we want. Nothing more.. nothing less. Just purity. That's the whole idea behind being "Lite".But, now the lite version have started collecting a lot of trash, I now feel it's okay to use the bloated full version instead of the lite version as they make no much difference.What makes it worse is, I've now started to use WMP11 instead of Winamp cos' installing another bloated player like Winamp along with the already existing bloated player like WMP11 doesn't sound very appealing.People.. I used to love Winamp Lite for it's purity and efficiency. Just too good a piece of software. But now, you've just gone the way like all others and you current offerings are totally sub-standard.Can you please provide a pure Lite versions of Winamp for audiophiles and purists like us who used to love Winamp Lite just for that.ps: Winamp Lite.. we miss you. Is there anyway to get the lite version, but with modern skins? because 5 mb extra, just for modern skins, is not something that i want to do thanks 16-Bit Moderator Join Date: Apr 2004 Posts: 4352 Simply download the Full installer and uncheck all components you don't need.Winamp Lite doesn't contain gen_ff.dll (The plug-in to run modern skins) and doesn't contain Winamp's default modern skin, this is proably one of the reason why this build is called "lite". Hi, Just after a bit of advice on slipstreaming Winamp.This is for a remote player to go in the loft so I don't care about skins or visuals etc...I'm running Winamp on a little pc I had knocking about with only a 1GHz 586 processor with 512MB of ram.I have XP home on it and almost the only thing it will be used for is Winamp.It does tend to max the CPU out, but the lite version ran quite comfortably.Problem is that remotecontrol-for-winamp stopped working with Lite so something that I needed wasn't installed and I need this plugin to work.I installed the full version again but didn't install video support, visualizations etc but it's still maxing out.So I need to find the sweet spot between the two, removing everything not needed for a headless low spec computer but including what's needed for remotecontrol-for-winamp.Is winamp lite even anything to do with Winamp?Has anyone ran remotecontrol-for-winamp with the lite version?Any ideas or advice most welcome.Thanks.
