New 30 Oct 2015 #7 You're welcome New 30 Oct 2015 #8 One thing missing from these alternatives is the clock speed that was displayed with the widget CPU meter with the old desktop gadgets. There was a replacement program that worked with Windows 8/8.1 that I used called 8gadgetpack. I just installed it on Windows 10 (after creating a restore point just in case) and it seems to be working fine in Windows 10.Update: some widgets don't work (this is stated on the 8gadget web site), but most do including the CPU widget and my old Pandora widget (which I had from before but does not come with the 8gadget pack). Also, the CPU load of the desktop gadgets (in task manager) seems far less than it was in Windows 8.1.
